Just try to be kind - is good enough for us.

I guess I knew you enough -- I read it as "thread".

Robin Williams said, "Everyone you know is going through a private battle, which you know nothing about.   Be kind.  Always."   I like that, and I think you will also.    I try to be kind, and helpful, and wherever possible and appropriate, to be funny, and leave a smile on someone's face.  ;o)

I try to be helpful and funny here on DI and appreciate others that do as well. Being kind is a two way street on this forum, so that is why I said 'try'.

So did you handle the chomping, slurping torture during Easter festivities okay?

Yes, I handled it fine.   My Darlin' also has those dislikes, so we elected to have a small Easter dinner this year, mostly because everyone else was having a barbeque and we all cross-invited each other.   I find that I can handle bad food manners much better outside in a casual setting, where it isn't awkward to just turn away and go someplace else.

This year, we decided to stay home, because there are three, count 'em three, viruses going around, and my Bride and my Mom are both immune compromised.    So, the three of us had a small bone-in ham, rotten potatoes, seasoned and grilled zoodles with Brown Shimeji mushrooms.    We've never seen nor eaten those mushrooms, and I guess they were just a happy shipping mistake.   Very nutty.   Grilled them in garlic butter.

How was Easter for you?

Sorry, an American colloquialism.   Short or whimsy for Au Gratin Potatoes.   ;o)

It was great, thanks for asking. I cooked a large roast for so long it became pull apart and the gravy from it was really rich and tasteful.

I mashed potatoes with milk, butter and cream cheese to a creamy consistency.

I was craving glazed carrots and everyone seemed to be craving them too, because none were left and I was planning to munch on the leftovers the next day.

My guests brought bacon wrapped asparagus and roasted broccoli in a parmesan and garlic dryish rub.

Desert was simple, apple pie and vanilla ice cream...which only two of us had any room left to eat.

Everyone ate with their mouths closed, so no issues there.
