What's that saying? - "The enemy of my enemy is my friend." It all has to do with demonizing a group so as to control those who are easily distracted and pushing a political agenda. It appears it's very easy to do with MAGA and Trump supporters, more's the pity. Trump must be laughing his ass off.

I think that much of US politics has become entirely adversarial.

Concepts such as win-win, fair compromise and statesmanship aren't on their 'conceptional dartboard' as prime targets.

If you can never give ground to another, you will be forced to devalue their person and ultimately infringe their rights.
