Our cities didn't burn every time there was a protest before antifa, any time they did it was automatically classified as a riot which wasn't acceptable. It's looking like this has become a well financed anti-western offensive campaign that operates like terrorist organizations. They look to be running out steam but we'll see what they have left in the tank I guess. Antifa is most certainly unique in that it champions and encourages non-peaceful inter actions.

for perspective...
Quote:Antifa-affiliated protesters have been conducting near-daily demonstrations outside the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) facility in Portland, Oregon, since early June 2025, in response to escalated federal immigration enforcement under the Trump administration. This ongoing action, often involving black bloc tactics, vandalism, and clashes with federal officers, has lasted approximately 3.5 months as of September 18, 2025.
Key Timeline and Details- Start of Protests (Early June 2025): The demonstrations began around June 4, 2025, with initial incidents including protesters blocking an ICE van and federal officers detaining three individuals. By June 7–8, crowds formed nightly, leading to vandalism like spray-painting the building and arrests for trespassing on private property adjacent to the facility. A Reddit post from June 20 notes that protesters had been camping 24/7 outside the ICE center since June 8, demanding ICE's removal from Portland.
- Escalation (Mid-June 2025): On June 11, protesters placed flammable materials and a lit flare against the building, resulting in three arrests. By June 14, hundreds gathered after a larger "No Kings" march, using a stop sign as a battering ram to break the front door, prompting Portland police to declare a riot and make multiple arrests. Federal charges were filed against six individuals by June 20 for offenses like assaulting officers and creating hazards.
- Ongoing Siege (Late June–September 2025): The protests intensified into a persistent occupation, with Antifa militants (often masked and in black bloc attire) surrounding the facility, threatening officers, and attempting to block access. By late June, the building was boarded up as a plywood bunker covered in graffiti. Nightly actions continued, including fireworks, rocks, and attempts to trap officers inside. An NPR report from August 16 describes the unrest as lasting "two months" at that point, with residual pepper spray in the air and protesters hopping federal property lines. Videos from journalists like Andy Ngo and Katie Daviscourt show Antifa flags, direct confrontations, and assaults on bystanders as late as August 15 and September 8. A September 16 OregonLive article states demonstrators have gathered and clashed for "more than 90 days."
- Current Status (September 2025): As of September 18, the facility remains under siege, with recent incidents including a city-issued land use violation notice against ICE for holding detainees too long (ironically amid the protests). Portland Mayor Keith Wilson has prioritized sanctuary policies over direct intervention, and local police response has been limited, leading to over 26 federal charges tied to the site. Residents near the South Macadam Avenue facility report ongoing noise, threats, and violence, with some businesses relocating due to the disruption.
These protests echo earlier Antifa actions at the same ICE site during the first Trump term (e.g., the 2018 Occupy ICEPDX occupation from June to July, which lasted about six weeks before federal clearance), but the 2025 iteration has been notably prolonged and intense, fueled by renewed immigration crackdowns. While not all protesters identify explicitly as Antifa, reports from DHS, journalists, and court records consistently link the militant elements—such as doxxing officers via groups like Rose City Counter-Info—to Antifa networks.

Banning Antifa and prescribing them as terrorists seems like common sense to me. They’ve brought genuine harm, unrest and damaging chaos to many US cities. They’re an organised and funded group of loonies working for outside interests.

Antifa. Lets talk about them.
Whats gonna happen?
Antifascist affiliation is as decentralized as LGBT pride affiliation. There are flags, but a rainbow is no more a symbol of any concrete ideology than use of that red and black flag equal stupid Portand kids.
Its like Banksy's Art was predicting events across the pond and not translating at all... because society is now a horse named Secretariat.
In England, you have "Palestine Action" categorized as a terrorist group. Some said direct action means "peaceful protest" and still get arrested.
Which is said to have largely prompted the art.
The criteria for their decision was the groups stated goal of using direct action to stop investment in Israeli genocide. As part of their mission they exalted action against sovereign nation states in ways that violate the law.
Now if you take a disorganized decentralized thing like antifa, and base your judgement on the small percentage that agree with militant methods above, you can "hang the guilty with the innocent" and brand all antifascist sentiment full-stop. Even those that never identify with antifa while abhoring violence.
And when that happens, when there is a ban all forms of "anti-fascist protest," under an umbrella of antifa for "national security reasons"... if you can't see the devilish irony by then, you never will.
Like at some point reality will be:
We're not fascist, and you can no longer legally call us that in printed media. Because it's now slander and vitriol that threatens national security and undermines the purposes of this administration, and contributes to the violent reactions we've had to endure from crazed people that call us fascists.
And that world will cheer the loss of my free speech. Loss of my right to say "THIS SERIOUSLY RESEMBLES FASCISM NOW!" Which is just subjective observation.
For everyone that EVER used the saying, "while I may not agree with what you say, I'll defend to death your right to say it..." I have a question at this terminal point in our history?
Do you actually believe that?
Would you die for that, for my opinion?
What if i say,
"This resembles a dictatorship and fascism now!"
Its no different than saying "This resembles communist Marxism now," if you really think about it.
What if my opinion speculates (without proof) the shooter was a false flag planted to start a war against the left?
What if I reaffirm EVERY post by writing I deplore use of violence or militant action against civilians and private and public property that undermines civil order, mutual respect, or public safety?
Are you going to fight for my right to have a free opinion in media and life then?

You are compley free to say anything you want. You also must face the consequences of what you say.
You keep forgetting the consequence.

My opinion bears little consequence, but I dont have an ABC contract. But if Don Imus can get cancelled over Rutgers Women's basketball than this can be true too. It seems like the other side of the same coin.
Its really no different.
Personally, I haven't forgotten. I just dont care. I dont advocate violence or criminality.
* And if what I do is now dangerous, threatening, and illegal, or to have punishment consequences, you can take my rights/freedom, cashflow, status, and bring me to coldest and/or hottest parts of isolation from stable society, well before I ever fear consequences for my legal opinions.
I think this Eminem song sums that up nicely the double edge-sword that is "offensive or adversarial free speech." And he would know about that. Everyone tried to cancel him for years.
** But I dont really like using Eminem for speaking for me. He's too trollish, so here's the Firefly theme song instead... if we're going to be melodramatic..

The consequences like federal RICO charges for chanting?

There's a reason you separate military and the police. One fights the enemies of the state, the other serves and protects the people. When the military becomes both, then the enemies of the state tend to become the people. - Commander William Adama

Maybe you forgot about how antifa was behind the CHOP/CHAZ incident in Seattle Washington, or how antifa took over Portland Oregon and still is rooted in there today. I guess you also don't seem to recall that antifa and its sister/brother transtifa tried to take over, via force, buildings at the UW.
I won't even get into the federal buildings that have been attacked by antifa and transtifa, or the ICE facilities, or the law enforcement homes, or the even the attacks on individuals like Charlie Kirk. So yep RICO charges for the funders of this group is a great idea since their annoying chats are not even close to being part of the problem with them.

And here we go……
Can’t wait to watch the left defend antifa now.
Grab your popcorn.
Justice for Charlie.
I thought the left said Antifa didn't exist!
