This is a car of the past because it’s currently 239 million miles away from Earth. It orbits the sun not Earth.

Launched in 2018 with a mannequin named Starman! Elons Roadster Tesla.

Yeah the were used in motorsport here but sadly not for human consumption.

Visited relations in UK in 92 and a relly thought it was a bit weird about how much I was into his Sierra, he was loving my Scorpio hire car.

The Scorpio wasnt sold here either, Luxury Car Import Tax. The Australian government make more of a new Benz than MB does.

A Scorpio XR8 could have existed, and there is a timeline where it does.

But back to the saffas, Basil Green is kinda like their version of Carrol Shelby or Brocky, or Smokey Yanick et al

I was not here.

I wish I had a disposable $81,000, plus shipping and duties.   Alas, I wasn't nearly as productive in my working life as I'd hoped.   Biggrin   These cars barely made highway speeds, and their freeboard when in the water was frighteningly close to the bottom of the window, but they were cool.   Cool in the way that something looks so awkward that it is cool.   I really wanted that Amphicar.   If I'd have had the scratch, I would have bid at least $1,000 more than I did.

I love that he did that.   Apparently, it was in a 'windup' gravitational orbit, and has escaped to enter into a stable orbit around the Sun that crosses Mars' orbit, if I understand things correctly.   What a wonderful toy.

How many people can say they sent a car to orbit the sun and it’s still orbiting! I think it is way cool.

I wonder what condition it would be in from the 7 years in space? It can’t rust. There is no 02 in space.

I wonder if the  aliens have a flying Tesla with a spaceman.  Smilegrin
