Borderlands 4

Decided to purchase "Borderlands 4"

Was a massive fan of the fist two games, but the third iteration was a bit of a let down.

Is anyone else playing "Borderlands 4"?

Have an opinion, or can you offer up any advice or tips?

What's your favorite character/build this time around?

And what do you think of the campaign so far?

"Yet so it is, we see the illiterate bulk of mankind that walk the high-road of plain common sense, and are governed by the dictates of nature, for the most part easy and undisturbed. To them nothing that is familiar appears unaccountable or difficult to comprehend."

I have a lvl 50 siren and a 41 exo. I love the entire series even the movie and even borderlands 3

Im pretty much 100% completion on siren side quests etc working on exo now. Currently on a rocket missile build for exo and a custom minion build for siren

If playing solo I recommend siren because they have reapers that can taunt groups of enemies into attacking them. This game can be very unforgiving

I played 1 to 3 (skipped prequel however), and the only advice I can give is to go look for what people have concluded as 'good build' for a character.

I remember when I first triggered mayhem 11 and think : "Well, that shit's impossible". That is, until I went looking around on the net for builds, then it all made sense.

Actually ended up soloing the big bad raid boss with fl4k at some point.

I think I used this site for skill tree and equipment : character builds.

Don't have a gaming pc right now, but I'll probably buy it when I do.
As far as the apple tree is concerned, there's probably not much difference between a worm and a human...

I've been playing the borderlands franchise games for many thousands of hours...

I'm playing B2 now (still amazingly enjoyable... "gobble gobble.")

It's been a long series, and I want to fully enjoy the new B4.

It's also way overpriced.  (and I hate "the tap dance" about "why so expensive?")

I'll get there someday eventually... haven't even killed Jack the anti-villain yet...

(By the way, I guess I hadn't set my sights so high that B3 was a let down... I enjoyed it well.)

You dont need internet builds to beat these games, I beat it a couple days after it came out, just read every skill path and decide what you want to do before placing a single point and you'll be fine. Basically pick a specialization skill and max the crap out of it. If your melee go all in on melee, etc my reapers are melee so im boosting health regen for them and their melee attack power. Simple. My exo uses rockets so im maxing their splash damage. Ive played it on hard and easy i dont see a difference in loot drops like they say. I think it depends more on your uvh rank after endgame

Nowadays it seems like the enjoyment is about multiplayer, spec-ing, and pvp.

I never got into that... I wanted to play the game, not the gamers...

I kind of got left behind as everything social opened up in there...

moderation is an art.... they have none.

I agree in general, that is, for clearing the main story and enjoying the game.

Altough, in my case I couldn't just start borderland 3 end game content (mayhem mode) without having to 'respec' my skills.

Actually, I rarely watch other people play, tutorials or walkthrough myself, unless not doing so would require too much time to spend on it.

I'm 100% on my Vex build using the crit knife to melt bosses. Only advice I have is don't wait to finish the story because then you lose out on additional XP for specialization levels. I'm loving the game and can't wait for dlc.
