Reincarnation is fun to think about. And I think it makes sense for a lot of reasons, not to mention there is interesting evidence that points to it.

But one could also argue it was used to uphold the caste system.

Wanna be part of the cool Brahmins club? Reincarnate better next time meanwhile enjoy your unfair treatment in society and quit the bellyaching.

I would suggest reincarnation is a nice notion and can offer up a measure of comfort to some.

But it's fraught with issues and logical inconsistency.

I mean if reincarnation is about karma, then a lot of people suffer in this world without apparent cause, and many wrongdoers go unpunished.

And if souls are recycled, where do the extra souls come from, considering our respective growing populations?

What happens with stillborn babies or short lives? Do they count as a life?

Then there are the two people(lot more than two)who sometimes claim the same past life, both can't be right.

If there’s a karmic system, who or what is keeping track, and why does it resemble human justice systems so much?

hmm if I understand @KKLoco properly they're talking more about mysteries such as the first and second death, transmigration of the soul, things not of this world, etc., rather than cyclic incarnation (a la hinduism) specifically. gnostic stuff. but maybe it's all one.

Sounds smelly hehehehehe. Hey if you need somebody to yell at I'm here! If you need help, I'm also here. Sometimes people need an impartial uninvolved person to rant at when everything seems to be going wrong. Let me know. I love to make new friends.

I mean if souls keep coming back, why's the world's population still exploding for a start?

And if you believe your problems come from mistakes you made in some past life.

You're basically telling yourself, "I'm already doomed before I even start."

If past lives count, we've probably all been the hero and the villain at some point many times before, so who do we even blame?

Yourself from 400 years ago?

It could turn into an endless loop, and at that point, you'd never get anything done aside from perpetuating a cosmic blame game stretching across centuries.

It seems to me that kind of mindset can trap you in guilt and hopelessness over things that we can't even prove happened.

I don't speak of this much, due to replies such as Sirius'. This topic tends to bring out the nasty in people. Nobody wants to believe their existence on this planet means virtually nothing. Which is understandable. I had a hard time with it myself at the beginning. I will just respond to them here -- No, I am not special, far from it in fact. I am in the prison with everyone else. So let that be the end of that.

The New Age movement was a massive PsyOp from our overlords. It gave us a fluffy perspective of our forced reincarnation. Tried to give it meaning - when it has none. The only meaning is to keep us pacified. It taught us to love our prison within a prison. You see, biological bodies are not advantageous. They are the most limiting 'containers' we could possibly use. I do not need to list all of the limiting factors we have with these bodies.

This place is a galactic dumping ground for unwanted souls. We are all here for different reasons. There are control measures set in place to keep us here. Ancient texts such as the Tibetan Book of the Dead, Sumerian Book of the Dead, Egyptian Book of the Dead, and Egyptian Funerary texts, all were manuals on how to escape the tests we endure upon our departure from this body.

The fact is, our memories are wiped prior to each incarnation. This alone, is the one common factor that makes this system absolutely fucked. There is absolutely NOTHING to gain from memory wipes. This only ensures our continued participation in the prison we have been placed in.

To take this a step further, this was the purpose of Jesus Christ and his message to us. It had nothing to do with sacrificing himself for our sins. He came to wake us up from our hypnotic prison. The fact is, each one of us has to undergo the traps when we die. It is up to each one of us individually to escape. I know, it all sounds incredibly unfair. Unfortunately, the multiverse isn't fair at all. What is a few hundred thousand years trapped -- compared to a lifetime of eternity?

Yes, Bugie. I am speaking of Gnosticism. These teachings are not new. They are thousands of years old. This is the reason every empire collapses. They are doomed from the get go. Each and every time we start waking up to the reality of this system, they wipe it clean.

Dont worry, ile keep it civil and tend to treat people how i find them.

It's an interesting take, kind of along the same to similar lines as the likes of David Icke.

I take it you're clued up on the likes of the Archons and Demiurge, Sophia's supposed creation of the material world?

Im do believe the trick following your train of thought is not to go into the light?

The question would seem to beg all the same, if not into the light, then where do we go?

Are there other lights, other places, or soul traps?

I used to think David Icke was an absolute quack. Turns out, he is not. The truth behind our reality is so far out there, that it makes no one want to believe it.

Yes, everything I speak of comes from Gnosticism. Except Gnosticism puts a spiritual twist on it. I don't believe this control system has any type of 'spirituality' to it. We were meant to believe that this is 'divine'. When in actuality, it is the opposite of anything 'divine' or 'Holy'.

The fact is, you cannot kill an immortal spirit being. The only thing you can do to it is lock it away and wipe its memory - think earth. This is the reason for so many different 'belief' systems on this planet. We are meant to be confused. They have done their job very well......

@KKLoco

I hear ya, and you and I agree on almost everything except about the reason for the prison and memory wipes. All religions do speak of the material world being a shadow compared to the divine. Everyone knew it was a prison from the start.

Jesus, Buddha and other Avatara did come to teach the way out. There is a way out. All religions do agree there is a way to attain the divine once again.

Happy journies and God bless

Kind of done a little edit of my last comment with additional questions to ponder.

Take it you have also heard of Scientology, and the ethos they promote?

Icke is interesting, and also a bit nuts imho.

First discovered him via his book "Truth Vibrations" which i read on a trip to Lloret de Mar, many, many, moons ago.....................and also the Terry Wogan show.  Saint2
