What if I knew?
What happens then...?
Did you really think this through?
How can you be pleased, knowing you lied,
knowing you 'faked' it all... that all I did... all I gave,
was sincere and true?
Then I got hurt, doing what we were supposed to do together,
while you watched, laughing I wonder?... or were you faking that too?
You knew what I'd do, you knew I was fact, and so left me out.
Roiling and reveling - got away with it - no shame,
while I protect you, knowing in my heart,
that you would die for me too.
How bout that time?... all in good fun...
When you knocked me out?
How could you not know?... I may be slow...
and I'm not just smart... or was that just a game?
somehow I knew.... somehow I woke...
pushed it away... ran with my faith in you...
When I opened my eyes, and saw the truth,
I didn't run and hide...
I kept my faith...
and even now, I would still die for you.
But you must see... this is your tale,
this is what you did to me...
Because I did do, what I should do,
while you enjoyed that in me,
you used it like them,
and they joined you too...
It must have been fun for you.
I wonder how that made you blind,
to the need in me... the friendship I sought,
that you teased me with,
the way I gave in,
they way I held on...
Peace... if you are still capable of finding it.
