homebrew rules is exactly why we start paying attention to the others. FAFO. I have many scars because of this.

Fair enough. It just never occurred to me that there is a wrong way to be a seeker. I understand there can be complications such as too quickly opening up, BUT...

What do you say when that 'floodgate' opens up involuntarily?

Some catalysts definitely set me on a path before I ever became a seeker. I felt that spinal/ electrical stuff before I ever thought of meditation or anything.

Heck I was like 13! I didn't seek anything, but I do think my 'ant-like' entity had something to do with it.

Maybe that was a sign "Hey last chance Alroy. Get it right this time because we can't keep saving your pathetic ass!"

I do think that's a possibility yes.

But in one of my OOBE experiences I was told I've always been a holy person in many, many lives going back.

I honestly don't know what to think! But at least let this example be proof that I do take all information I received with a dash of salt.

If I'm such a holy person going back so long that they tell me I'm a club member, then why did I have such a suckass like for 35 years??

Life be crazy! That's the only thing I really know for sure.

A big problem is that most people live pretty crappy lives and not by their design, going down this path inevitably leads to psychosis.  How do we lift 7 billion people out of trauma without having a mental health crisis? Arguably we already have a mental health crisis that will take generations to fix against strong opposition.

Sudden enlightenment will have most people frothing at the mouth unfortunately. Perhaps this is the endgame, like the Tower of Babel. Everyone going in a different direction, chaos abound while a select group builds a new world order.  The people will be broken and this is pure evil, the very thing that is supposed to lift us up to the heavens is weaponized against us.

Maybe rather than OOBEs or misdirected meditative journeys, we just need perspective.

It's interesting to note what researchers have found when visiting poor nature- and social-loving isolated peoples - that they are happier than people who think their lives are crap because they are lacking stuff or their emotional needs are not being met (you are responsible for your happiness).

Maybe those with issures are just lacking getting back to nature and finding that particular social community where they actually will fit in. Of course, only after the most essential needs are met, that being housing, food and security.

Focus your energies on situations you can control, not the ones you cannot control. And don't forget, one person can make a difference, e.g. Rosa Parks.

So, once Spring arrives here, I will get myself out of doors to become one with nature, barefooted and hands in the dirt.

Especially with enough time there to turn off your monkey brain and it's 'civilised' habits.
