There are TONS of love songs that seem so distant from where we are now, like an alternate reality. Its almost as if the music dictates the era or vise versa, idk, but the love is gone. This is NOT a love era at all.

I feel similarly... I got to observe the hippie era as a child...

and I recall the disaffection with the overt peace and love vibe...

the pendulum has swung in it's orbit from "be loving, and respect everyone" past "be hateful prick as a matter of pride" and approaching "I don't give a shit about anything you suggest I do - as a matter of principle."
