But wait, Trump seems to have finally lost patience with Putin who obviously is not interested in peace:

This could change things for Russia, but, let's see.

More bad news for Putin?

Now Austria wants to join NATO.

"The Kremlin is finding it increasingly difficult to continue its war against Ukraine for several reasons, including heavy losses and a catastrophic economic situation, states Austrian Foreign Minister Beate Meinl-Reisinger.  "One thing is clear: Ukraine wants peace, but Russia does not. If Putin were truly interested in peace, he would begin ceasefire negotiations right now," she stated. According to Austria's top diplomat, former US President Donald Trump served Crimea to Putin on a silver platter and also ruled out Ukraine’s NATO membership. Nevertheless, Putin continues waging a war of destruction.  "Russia is suffering enormous losses. At some point, the coffins will start piling up. Add to that the catastrophic state of the economy. The Kremlin is finding it harder and harder to sustain this war," she added. Meinl-Reisinger also noted that Russian President Vladimir Putin knows he is running out of time, which is why he is pursuing the war with such brutal intensity.

Hmmm, IIRC these corruption concerns were being mentioned by open-minded posters on the old ATS threads
well BEFORE the world sent these azzhats billions.

Yes, that's odd.  Maybe a typo?

But there it is.

I've seen google AI refer to Trump as former president as well it's clearly been trained to throw shade at him. Pretty sure the article was AI generated but I think most articles are now.

It wasn't billions in cash.  As was mentioned by open minded posters on ATS, but closed minded posters still whine about billions in cash?

Frankly, Austria's decision to join NATO is more important than some might think...
Speaking from a strictly strategic perspective.

NATO lacks credibility anymore (perhaps it's a generational thing.)...

For many younger members, I thought, it rings true that NATO is, proportionally speaking,
a bottomless money pit... which doesn't pursue peace, only war,
a tailor-made money hole specifically for the US.

But maybe that's just a regional perception.

It is clearly billions in cash.
Ukraine is paying everyone in the country with that cash otherwise nobody would have money.
Paychecks, pensions, subsidies, medical etc.
It’s not all weapons as you’ve been led to believe.
Ukrainians seem to be waking up to Zelensky’s ineptness and corruption, as evidenced by the growing protests.
The fire rises.
