Maybe his words were misconstrued and what he actually tried to say was "we talked to an astronaut who was on the moon, who is a soldier".

"who was" and "who is" can sound similar if said in public speaking perhaps. "whoas" v "whois".

Just a variation to consider.

Maybe he will be asked for clarification some time and we will understand better.

Perhaps the purpose of propaganda is not to always paint the other side as bad but to instill a sense of greatness for ones own subjects and awe them with your power. The other side is always backwards and inferior right, completely foreign, not human, pigs and dirt.

Anyways, if the superpowers of the world is not fighting a war in space, then something else is. Both prospects are terrifying to me, not allot you can do as person on the ground. There is a direct line straight up from where you are with nothing in between, conventual contraptions of war has to cover ground or the ocean to get to you.

You can not have something stationary in space protecting you, everything in low earth orbit has to move and circle the globe. We are 100% vulnerable and fucked with an attack from space.
