Are you ready for the return of Jesus Christ? Have you been cleansed by His blood?

Acts 2:2 state the holy ghost sounds like a wind. Moses heard trumpets on the mountain top. Do you think those signs are real?

As it is written, "Now the natural man doesn’t receive the things of God’s Spirit, for they are foolishness to him; and he can’t know them, because they are spiritually discerned. But he who is spiritual discerns all things, and he himself is to be judged by no one. 'For who has known the mind of the Lord that he should instruct him?' But we have Christ’s mind." (1 Corinthians 2:14-16)

As it is written, "Even if our Good News is veiled, it is veiled in those who are dying, in whom the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving, that the light of the Good News of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should not dawn on them. For we don’t preach ourselves, but Christ Jesus as Lord, and ourselves as your servants for Jesus’ sake, seeing it is God who said, 'Light will shine out of darkness,' who has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ." (2 Corinthians 4:3-6)

When Paul wrote to the Corinthians it to was to defend his own apostleship and didn't like the fact he had opponents in Corinth and was concerned about a group of preachers whom he described as “false apostles.” Paul was "afraid" that the Corinthians would have their minds drawn away from the purity of devotion to Jesus Christ. These other preachers, he wrote, preached another Jesus, another Spirit, another gospel which he had not preached.
He didn't want to lose control of the Church he had created, it was all about power and control. Preaching that the "good news was veiled" was his attempts at telling others they were blinded and it was about preaching "Fear" to keep the Corinthians in line.

Isn't there a rule here against proselytizing, and cutting and pasting massive texts from other sources?
Or was that only at ATS?

I couldn't see it in the D.I. T&C's but you'd think just copying and pasting and then attempting to "sermon" to members and convert wouldn't be allowed?

Not according to the bible.   That 'asleep in the grave' is phenomenological language.
The bible says that everyone who is 'dead' is very much awake, aware, and active.

Sirach 48:12-14

"Then Elisha, filled with the two-fold portion of his (Elijah's) spirit, wrought many marvels by his mere word.  During his lifetime he feared no one, nor was any man able to intimidate his will.  Nothing was beyond.  his power; beneath him flesh was brought back into life.  In life he performed wonders, AND AFTER DEATH MARVELOUS DEEDS".

Nope.  The exact opposite is true.  The Catholic church is the original Christian church and it follows scripture to the letter.   AND ... it was the Catholic Council of Carthedge in 397AD that put the bible together ... taking Jewish texts and Catholic documents ... Catholic men deciding which were of God and which were not ... and the Catholic Pope putting the final stamp of approval on it.

Thanks for playing, but you lose.   Lol

Do you ever wonder why Jehovah's witnesses only ever come out of the wood work to covert when they see 'WW3 is near' on the news?

They only ever knock my door when the headlines are all doom porn. I always send then away with their tales between their legs though!

I just reported and asked the question if it's allowed.   He has another thread going (on the 10 commandments) that says all Catholics are liars and hellbound, and so is anyone who disagrees with him.   It might be allowed here ... I dunno ... but it wasnt' at ATS.

It contains many troubling and violent elements alongside its parables and teachings.

There are stories of genocide, slavery, misogyny, divine wrath, and harsh punishments that can be deeply unsettling.

I would fear the fella in the Old Testament, put it that way, because that's not benevolence imho.

Example ... Noahs Ark.   In addition to being completely false, it's a massive insult to a loving Father-God whom the Christians believe in.   Why it made the cut to get into the bible .. I'll never understand.   Makes God out to be a cruel destructive monster.

I was going to guess that or 7th Day Adventist.
Same kinda rhetoric.
He just quoted a 7th Day Adventist in another thread.
So I'm going with that he's one of them.
