That metaphor may just apply to Trump's favourite people, those being, the uneducated.

I think you have bigger problems over there.

What migrant protests do you mean?

I was in Newcastle on Sunday for my first concert and day out since my wife passed away at the end of November.
As always the city centre was bouncing; The Toon were at home to Man Utd, the sun was out and all sorts of people out and about having a drink or just going about their business.

As usual the area around Grey's Monument was packed with the customary God Botherers - Jehovah's Witnesses I think - a solitary The End is Nigh type preacher and a Britain First campaigner trying to spread his own personal gospel and handing out leaflets to anyone who would entertain him.
Not one sign of any police presence and no-one trying to stop anyone else have their say or voice their opinion.

Its undeniable that some people are trying to gradually suppress free speech and the whole notion of 'hate crime' has gone way too far. It seems to me that both/all sides are as bad as each other and resent anyone with an alternative opinion to their's and at times seek to limit the opportunities for those to voice their point of view.

But I do believe the worm is turning; people have simply had enough of partisan bollocks and wokerati bullshit.

These isolated instances of police investigating potential hate crimes etc and people being offended by words are sensationalised and portrayed as the norm. Its undeniable they occur and that its shear stupidity and bordering on insanity.....but it is not occurring anywhere near and frequently as its alleged.
These instances need to be publicised and they need to stop, but they also need to be shown in context.....they are the exception and not the norm.
I believe in this and its been tested by research, he who fucks nuns will later join the church.

Good to see you, and well said.

Well, here's something to get excited about.

Quote:Liz Truss to launch ‘uncensored’ social network to counter mainstream media

Former PM says she wants to protect free speech after being ‘cut off at the knees’ by ‘the elite’ while at No 10

Liz Truss is preparing to launch her own social media platform championing free speech, as she warned the “deep state” and mainstream media were stifling freedom of expression in Britain.

Quote:The former prime minister said the platform would launch this summer. It is her latest attempt to become a leading figure on the radical right in Britain, openly declaring her support for Donald Trump and Elon Musk’s mission to slash state spending in the US.

I can't really get excited by Liz "beaten by a lettuce' Truss, but if she supports somebody, or something, then, it's got to be A Bad Thing.

And bound to wreck the economy.

She was cut off at the knees, because she had no clue. And still supports the clueless, apparently...

This short video statement is from the Bitchute CEO about this matter.

The decision to stop all video sharing in the UK was taken because Bitchute will not perform a censorship service for the UK Government. This action complies with the UK online safety act as well as maintaining the charter of Bitchute by not selectively discriminating user content.

I have found Bitchute has done a good job in keeping the worst of the internet off their platform. As a place that has been supportive to the free expression of ideas it has done a great job. Easy to find lots of things to disagree with, that is ok. Also been some very insightful and educational material that the rest of the media has been too scared to touch.

Time will tell how it goes, does this Orwellian nightmare get better or worst in time? Is a VPN for the UK users one way around it?

Umm, if Bitchute is taking themselves offline in the UK, aren't they censoring all content there?

To me, this is just looks like a media manipulation campaign by the owners, implying that their actions are due to government censorship, because it will appeal to their demographic (who will probably access the site still via VPN, and, I just bet Bitchute have already been heavily promoting some VPN software in a major way).

Like all those people who got briefly post-banned from other sites, but were somehow back there on those sites in a week or so, pedalling much the same BS, but they didn't stop posting to the internet for a minute, they just moved (temporarily) to Bitchute.

Also, most social media sites make money, and pay a cut to popular posters. Posters that must come up with new content all the time, or loose their income.

Monetization

And, despite the gullible belief that Bitchute and other social media are being truthful, there is nothing to prevent anyone from posting fiction or disinformation. In fact, salacious conspiracy themed output consistently gets the most views (and earns the most money).

Dr. John Campbell - YouTube Channel Stats (he is totally lying for the income it gets him. This was just from YouTube, he also makes money on other platforms).

John Campbell (YouTuber) (sorry nurse Cambell, you were just a perfect example of someone who got post banned, moved to Bitchute temporarily but continued to make a stack of money through it all. And you have pushed thousands of videos most that were untrue, to boot).

There are also still many videos on Bitchute that have been totally disproven and debunked, yet no videos will ever be taken down just because they are false. That would be a loss of income.

Until people in general become less gullible about social media unreliability, there will be continued misuse of the media to radicalize and misinform.

We all know that TV advertisements aren't to be just totally believed. But TV advertisements also have laws that define what they can contain. Social media has no such constraints, it is more unreliable than TV advertising.

Also, look at the content of the law that Bitchute are saying is the reason they are taking themselves offline in the UK. The owners of the video sharing service must believe they are hosting videos that promote paedophilia.

Don't fall for the Bullchute!
