The video of the agent taking a handgun from him did not surface right away.  It came out a day or two after news of the incident hit the airwaves and the thread was already several pages long.

Pretti was legally carrying.  It was not concealed.

Pretti was a known member of an anti law enforcement movement, illegally carrying a firearm(did not have his permit, which is needed in the state of Minnesota), interfering with federal agents in the performance of their duties, resisted arrest, assaulted law enforcement officers in the process and lost his life.

Not saying that the shooting was justified or any of that, I am simply stating he could have 100000% avoided this incident. But that is not a conversation you people want to have.

Can see the point you're raising but The Troubles wasn't protesting or feven rioting. It was active warfare between IRA and UK troops - the IRA terrorists (funded/armed by the US) set off dozens/hundreds of bombings in the UK and NI at the time including bombing UK Parliament. Lots of people were killed and 1000s injured in the bombings and it was so often that it was 'normal' when I was a kid to have to leave buildings/shopping centres/train stations because of bomb threats or actual bombs being discovered.

UK troops and spies did commit attrocities but are being dealt with in the UK Courts at the moment. It's a lot different to shooting people using their right to protest or people interfering with law enforcement like seen recently in the US.

The Ballymurphy massacre was a series of incidents between 9 and 11 August 1971, in which the 1st Battalion, Parachute Regiment of the British Army killed eleven civilians in Ballymurphy, Belfast, Northern Ireland, as part of Operation Demetrius (internment without trial). ive seen you do it before though, the last part was just about conflict resolution. You can apply tactics to any situation, thats what tactics are for. I thought it was obvious I was applying the term acceptable losses in drawing lines in the sand *like political party lines* not to demonstrations, that wouldn't make any sense. Why would you think an irrational thought.

I haven't done anything of the sort. Only ever referencing tactics used by certain groups, considering it wasn't me that bought Goebbels in the first place, I think you're reaching a little. 

As to your other comment, easy to get the references mixed up as we are talking about someone being shot and killed so the term acceptable losses could be taken in different ways.
