If you don't agree with it, I encourage you to gather signatures from citizens of the United States and when you get enough, give them to your State Representative to hash out a plan to change it. STOP.   We already told you we don't want to be an over crowded, polluted mess.   Your dream vision for a massively overpopulated America is disgusting.   Wanting us to be like India.   Landfills everywhere .. cars everywhere .. dwellings overtaking forests .. farmlands disappearing .... and full of foreigners who dont' speak the language and aren't educated and who are poor and suck off the working citizens.    

You'd overwhelm our electrical grid, our sewer systems, our water systems.   We already have times and places that there is water rationing and electrical brown outs.   Not to mention that there aren't jobs enough for 2 billion people here.   You'd collapse our entire system bringing us lower than India. 

We like our forests and wide open spaces and farmlands.  We like not drowning in pollution and landfills.   We like having critters run wild and free in our forests and grasslands.  We like farms growing enough food to feed us and not being bulldozed to put up cheap housing for illegals (or anyone else for that matter).

Just stop.   Just because we have an open space doesn't mean an illegal has to occupy it.  You are a foreigner and your vision for America is not only disgusting, but it goes against the grain of who we are and how we want to live.

And I wasn't mandating that the US must have 2 billion people, I was merely pointing out that such may be possible.

Even if you were to entirely stop immigration, population growth in the USA is set to achieve a population of 369 million by 2080. That is 39 million more than it has now. How are you intending to postpone the inevitable? A cull? Mandated contraception? Forced abortions?

Also, most of your current population resides in high density housing in your largest cities. What you might think is how Americans want to live, is not how they are choosing to live. Higher populations can only be properly housed in mega-cities, the current largest example of which is Tokyo, Japan (no piles of garbage, landfills or wrecked cars and everyone affluent in comparison to their national average).

As for infrastructure, it is expandable according to the economic power and needs of a larger population, not to mention economies of scale making infrastructure more efficient per capita served. Do you think that they built things like the Hoover dam power generation just to serve only the existing population of the day?

Someone with your mindset would not have the vision to build a skyscraper, or a city full of them, or any of hundreds of great engineering works. The problem with MAGA, looking in the rear view mirror, at what used to be, and not at what lies ahead.
