It might be nice if he knew the difference between Greenland and Iceland, all the same.
It’s not rocket science that China wants a monopoly on rare earth minerals and wants to weaponize that advantage. So you are another zombie that missed the wake-up call that was covid. Hello, Mcfly. And yes. The US has its own China problems. Like Mich McConnell being married to a woman who’s father is one of the largest ship builders in Asia with direct ties to the CCP. You complain about chess when China has very real 5 and 10 year plans.

You want the minerals to be left wide open for China to get?
They already have almost all of them that are being developed.
(either direct ownership or at least control over them)
It would be a disaster for the world if China got a hold of them.
OF COURSE it's about the minerals.
And it's about strategic location.
DUH.
All of that is propaganda that your government fed you and you lapped it up without any research to the contrary.
China does not need Greenland's minerals they have all they need from their lands and are #1 exporter of same.
Greenland is situated in such a way as to be completely surrounded by other allied countries waters so to get to Greenland they would have to go through Denmark's waters first and Denmark and other allied security forces are stationed there if such an event were to happen. But the only country threatening any other country for Greenland is the U.S. at this point in time.

Nope. Quite evident that China wants a monopoly on rare earth minerals and weaponize that control. And China has no interest in free and open trade. Everything from stealing peoples intellectual property to using forced labor. Are you seriously going to derail this thread to cheer for China and how they weaponize holding rare earth mineral monopolies?

Knowing the difference between Iceland and Greenland, i completely agree.
It's not rocket science.
Just simple geography that children learn in school.
As to the daft zombie name-calling and COVID claims nonsense, not interested.
Try and stay on topic, you're simply moving the goal posts now.
The rare earth strategy is somewhat of a broader global supply chain issue.
And Greenland's minerals are comparatively small, never mind hard to get to or exploit, so...

You know a little research might help you to learn facts and truths so you don't continually embarrass yourself on DI. China already has a near-monopoly on rare earths. Educate yourself and stop the con.

Greenland is part of the strategic strategy to minimize Russian and Chinese influence and power.
So. Yeah. It is on topic.

Did I post otherwise?

I thought the west learned its lesson during Covid about putting too many eggs in the Chinese supply line. And weaning itself of the CCP which is basically one large evil corporation now. Nothing against the normal Chinese citizens, but the CCP is seeking world domination that cares nothing for free and open trade.

If China already has a near monopoly on rare earth minerals. Any source open to the west gives the west that much more control over its own economies and defense systems that relies on rare earth minerals.

You are caught in a paradigm of reacting in very predictable ways to every US policy announcement and action.
