I was a fan of earlier seasons, I was also a fan of the "movies" they did during the pandemic etc. This newest stuff, aside from Labubu, is rather dull. That being said, they just got paid $1.5 billion with a five year deal for 50 new episodes. So Paramount sees the value in it somewhere.

I think all the episodes in the seasons 27/28 thus far have been bang on, especially so the first 4 of 27.

Some are just better than others, but that's just down to taste, imho you're correct, the "Labubu" episode was a cracker.

I think the follow the money jump on the Orange Man Bad Bangwagon is stronger than ever with Matt and Trey, and it is fascinating to see how low they will go to please their paymasters with the very raunchy 'mud' smearing against the Trump admin, something they never did as harsh with other administrations that people disliked, like GW Bush. so that is fascinating.

That said ,if you have a thick skin and are able to see which parts are actually funny, and good satire (like the Anti AI and 'revenge porn' for example) then you can ignore the very , how to say, obvious attempts to please the Hollyweird Progressive purse string holders.   A big part of the change from the show the last 2 or 3 years is since they don't have to please the cable TV or Comedy Central censors.  Which in a way, is bad/lazy writing, but that's perhaps a different kettle of fish.

Is there some part of enjoying a show that makes me unable to point out hypocrisies in it's writers? 
I don't have to be a blind fanboy to anything, whether it's entertainment, propatainment, or propaganda. You know this. 
Just like I don't have to agree with politics to enjoy a show. 
Something a lot of people are unable to do in this age is separate art from the artist and their personal life/beliefs.  It's a shame, I think.  
So yeah, still a fan, just not a blind one.

Me too, I think. Some of it is funny, some of it is just crass and goes beyond satire into paid mud slinging, but that's okay because you have a vehement illogical dislike of a stranger, and feel you are okay in laughing at what to some people is not funny, because you feel like you are part of the superior more intelligent group and you want to make sure you are on the 'right side'. I for one, laugh when it's funny, like the cops misunderstanding the AI video situation, but personally I don't find homosexual sex between strangers very humorous, it just puts me off.
