I dont know about reincarnation, it's fraught with issues like the rest of our organised religious practices.
I mean if souls keep coming back, why's the world's population still exploding for a start?
And if you believe your problems come from mistakes you made in some past life.
You're basically telling yourself, "I'm already doomed before I even start."
If past lives count, we've probably all been the hero and the villain at some point many times before, so who do we even blame?

It could turn into an endless loop, and at that point, you'd never get anything done aside from perpetuating a cosmic blame game stretching across centuries.
It seems to me that kind of mindset can trap you in guilt and hopelessness over things that we can't even prove happened.
