What would I need, in theory to contact an extraterrestrial?

As someone who has seen some things and had an experience or two, I have been pondering what it would take to really contact an extra terrestrial.

I have a place off grid that I can go to in the middle of nowhere. If I were to document such an encounter, what would I need to have footage and evidence that would be of value?

Recommendations on equipment, cameras, any kind of sensor data that I would want to collect, possible trade goods? 

I have a theory that it is entirely possible to have real footage and or data but it is that most people are never really prepared or equipped for it.

The location happens to be in an area where there is a very high concentration of ufo sightings. 

My ultimate goal would be to have evidence that would hold up to any scrutiny. So I am asking the brain trust of this site, those who like me who have really wanted conclusive proof and not the circus, to share their thoughts.

what kind of evidence should be collected? Physical, photographic, video, possible radar, lidar, IR, magnetic, sound, radio.

Best equipment and set up to capture data?

Trade goods, in the event that there is a success, what should be traded or shared? Food ideas? Precious metals?

How best to protect oneself as well. In case their intent is to take me with as parts or an exhibit for their intergalactic zoo. 

Method of signaling? Lights? 

I am currently in the processes of building my off grid camper so that I can spend a month this fall conducting my own research. While I have a broad base of knowledge, I am asking those who may be investigating too, what they are using and what has worked.

This is not a joke, I am not trolling. This is a very real endeavor I am going to undertake.

Yes, I understand.

Look for groups that seek out contact in your area.

I did some searching online to see who was doing what in my area, and I can tell you I was stunned that someone actually tried to contact other intelligent species, out there, and received back what I took to be a holographic image as a reply.

First, you need a potato to photograph and possibly video the encounter. That is a hand held potato, no solid mounts or stabilizers.

Second, you need to have the reputation that noone would believe you. Preferibly having reported other sightings such as the Lock Ness monster in your backyard swimming pool. Possibly having a pool party with a sasquach and a mermaid.

Third, you need to not try. They can detect you actually seeking an encounter and will not show up just to be fashionable among the other offworlders at the bars and clubs later.

I had those type of encounters years ago. I was using a telescope. The natural wonders up there are quite spectacular.

Having looked with various optical equipment and learned what is not in fact a UFO, the encounters claimed to be them are just disappointments now. I know too much.

Not everyone out there is benevolent and some, once they know you, will never leave you alone once they meet you, even when you tell them to leave you alone in peace and just go tip a cow or make a crop circle for funsies or something.

Don't be surprised if your surveillance equipment fails or just captures static if anything. If you can back up any encounters with some radar data, awesome.

One tip I got a while back was that wearing a motorcycle helmet can disrupt the psychotronic influences providing a better chance to remember. I hesitated in putting it on when there might of been one chance? Seconds in it.

As for what kind of ET you might attract, remain mindful of the kind of vibe you are putting out. Most ET's appear to travel light, don't need much. One thing they might value for a trade is your time?
