What would I need, in theory to contact an extraterrestrial?

Have you never encountered in the comments on a photo or video that the quality is so bad that it was taken with a potato. Potato cameras are quite popular among those making images of unusual beings and events.

I was using a humorous take on "you can't preparefor or invite such an event". It just happens.

I too was making a joke. My sense of humor is about as obvious as a text message. Make one joke about being abducted by aliens then suddenly nobody wants to hunting, fishing, hiking or camping with you.

I know I preach a lot about the feel-good love and light awiens, but you are correct, there are definitely some cruel tricksters out there. They can be brutal. 

But have you ever considered they are simply taking you down a peg? Bringing things into focus for you? Putting you in a humbled state of mind so you can really pay attention to the real lesson?

Look I'm not saying there isn't evil out there, just consider that conquering the demons within yourself is a requisite step. 

So yeah there's jokesters and tricksters that will bring you down to your knees. Maybe you needed to be reminded how lowly you really are on the totem pole.

I actually don't have fear of them. I just understand that in my current state (incarnated in a biological body), they have more power than me. They typically look to deceive. Which makes it incredibly difficult to sift the wheat from the chaff. The fact is, more encounters are negative than not. I've come to a new understanding of what they actually are. Their entire purpose is to deceive and keep is confused -- and its working magnificently. I Recommend giving this a watch. It runs the gamut. Including the 'Guardian of the Threshold'.

As I already said, I've seen both sides of that coin. Have you ever heard of Kali worship in India? It was made famous in Indiana Jones Temple of Doom as a villainous death cult.

Kali is actually the other side of the divinity coin. Some things are actually meant to terrify us and scare us straight, though with good intentions behind it. Think of how many ghosts, goblins, and gargoyles we decorate with. Think of why we dress up in spooky costumes for Halloween. Kali is playing a role in a costume meant to spook us back onto the right path.

It isn't a worship of evil or trickery and deception. It's an acknowledgment that the Dark Side is part of the equation, and it's part of us too.

I would invite you to clear your mind better before engaging in...any altered states, meditations etc. 

You take that energy/ frequency in with you, what do you think you're going to experience?

Spend hours, half the day even, getting into the right frame of mind first. Or else you're just going to run into the bouncers.

You don't go to the parties I go to then. There is usually a collection of sci-fi, horror, fanticy, and other fans. There are witches, paranormal investigators, scientists, authors, magicians, musicians, dancers. And those are just the people, the characters we portray are even more interesting.

Having been abducted would be an interesting story. You could drink with the Klingons, animals and pirates while regailing your encounter. They don't care if you made it up or not as long as it is a good story.

They wound in fact enjoy going hunting, fishing, and camping with you.

Yes, I’m familiar with Kali. 

I understand that some of it can be our subconscious. If you watch the video I posted, you’d see that is what is being described with the Guardian of the Threshold is just that, ourselves. I think you would appreciate the video. 

on the other hand, many entities control and manipulate through the use of fear. So how do we decipher what is us, and what is them? It’s all very convoluted.

How best to protect oneself as well. In case their intent is to take me with as parts or an exhibit for their intergalactic zoo. 

Method of signaling? Lights? 

Why not capture the alien and make it a zoo exhibit... don't settle for less.

Agree. There are more chances to witness something extraordinary living in rural area. At least it is a first step.
