Homosexual behavior is observed in hundreds, if not thousands, of animal species inluding bonobos, dolphins, giraffes, sheep, albatrosses, and swans. These behaviors can include courtship, forming pair bonds, mutual genital stimulation, and even same-sex parenting, serving purposes from pleasure and social bonding to tension release and coalition building.
