After his moment of vanity he laid the ambush.

He wrapped the spam in a small towel and dropped it on the ground as if a traveller had lost it, uncovering itself in this process, naturally. The shining metallic glare of this much sought after Elak delicacy peeking was sure to be a sufficient lure. In lieu of using a trap or hilarious cartoon net, he crouched behind a bush, out of view, and waited for his target to walk along that trail.
