Even though this known weather phenomenon of stalled low-pressure area happens at this time of year, as tropical systems form and move throughout Texas and other Gulf states.

This IS a conspiracy theory-friendly virtual 'place.'
Tragedies are not immune from such speculation...
Please remember, when others make such comments, that unless we specify, "Only condolences and facts herein.." We shouldn't immediately chastise people who "go there." Which might be just as poorly received as "Condolences, prayers, or well-wishing are not welcome here."
Quite often there can be room for what some people refer to a conspiracy theory paranoia... or simply make a comment as a means to "lighten" the burden of the horrors of the tragedy itself... even for their own sake... it may be ill-advised or not... but hardly an evil to be crushed, I think.
(For example, Could you debate that "a Satanist cabal might have control over HAARP?" (I suspect it could be fun!)
