I never had anything like that happen to me with a phone. I only had stuff like a wired in smoke alarm talking all garbled, but you could tell it was a guys voice and pick out some of what it was saying. I thought my mind was playing tricks so I called the wife and granddaughter up and they were also trying to decipher what was being said. The alarm actually goes to a speaker like unit, so somehow signals were coming through the wiring to the smoke alarm. My question would be why only the one of three wired in smoke alarms was talking....but then again, nobody actually went and checked out if the other two were making noises, they came upstairs when I called them to listen. It did that for about three or four minutes, and never did it again. We could not tell if it was a phone call, it could have been a signal from anything that came through the power lines from who knows where. Makes you wonder if someone could use power lines to transfer speech to someone's house to make them appear nuts. At first I thought I was having some kind of epileptic seizure hitting my hearing, but it was not, the wife and granddaughter heard it and agreed it was some kind of talking that was distorted. Who knows where it came from, and really I don't care, it was just interesting.
