The problem I have with Ryobi batteries is that if you don't keep them on the charger, a month or two of not using them seem to greatly decrease their power capacity. Annoying, perhaps one of those "design flaws" that's like "oh gee too bad we'll get around to fixing that real soon now, until then just keep buying new battery packs lol".

The mowers are being recalled because of a faulty push-on connector on the inside of the powerhead that can overheat, posing a fire hazard. According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission’s report on the recall, there have been 97 reports of mowers overheating while in use, five reports of fires and two minor burn injuries.
