If I may...I recommend going to Old Ebbit (oldest pub in DC) before you leave...if you like bars and good food. Its just beside the whitehouse east of the treasury building on the other side of their new wall. In fact if you go right now on east coast time you can enjoy the 2$ oysters for the 11pm-1am happy hour. I've never had a bad piece of food off their menu but the oysters are the star.
