enjoy feeling of my brain being entrained at the right frequencies through the hemi synch. As they produced more and more tapes, especially after Monroe it reminds me of a cult like Scientology etc where you keep paying for deeper revelation… seems unnecessary to me but to each their own. People seem to get something out of it.
It's funny you mention both 'after Monroe' and 'Scientology' bc I will get a lot of flak for it, and I was never in the 'Church' but years ago after reading Dianetics and some other 'hidden' texts that were(maybe still are) online, Hubbard's teachings were very good basic energy and psychological cleansing and strengthening work. Of course he was a huckster and used it for money but I think he genuinely wanted to help people as well - and he also stole a lot of his teachings from Daoism, Thelema/magick, and other basic psychology training. After he died is when it truly went cultish and became about nothing but the money, and the 'secrets' were just useless nonsense. Maybe the same thing happened to the Monroe Institute after he died, I am not sure...
