Consciousness is not just in the brain, the whole body receives it. If I where to cut off the tip of your finger it only lacks the "juice" required to act on the signal.
What if we gave that finger tip some juice and what if we do even more? Just like a hologram that finger tip contains all the code required to reconstruct you and if we did it would receive the same signal.
I imagine it would be the disorientating affair with both bodies sending and receiving the same signals.
