South Korea's parliament has approved, with 190 of its 300 members present, a motion calling for the lifting of martial law introduced by South Korean President Yoon. Under South Korean law, the government must lift martial law if a majority of the National Assembly requests it in a vote. The martial law command is also prohibited from arresting lawmakers.
