That was 60 years ago so whatever cabal is now running things is entrenched, which makes everything else a sham, kabuki theater.
That is hard for most to swallow even if the circumstantial evidence supports that conclusion.
and yes the GP ought to be semi-concerned about what happens when and if these "secrets" become accepted common knowledge.
Not to mention there are already factions that independently don't trust the military, the MIC, or several governmental departments this feeds right into that noise and FWIW this would be our enemies China, Russia, North Korea, and Iran's etc. ultimate wet dream.

The fact that this eventuality is our adversaries most evil wish is what makes it less likely IMHO.

I am wondering if this was all the result of secret transnational commerce... the unrecognized "extra-national" presence in many, many nations. The hidden hand.
Their "plan" (and mostly any other I've heard of) is folly. As smart as they are supposed to be, it seems irrational that they don't know this.
The "MIC" is just the commercial arm of that other "national presence" a militaristic 'combine.'
I always remember what I learned long ago... secrets are weaknesses, the more you have, the weaker you are. Those folks can't hide from their own secrets... that's the beginning of the end for them. I would be really surprised if they didn't know it. The crap they've been pulling since the 50's demonstrates the "death throws" of the cabal... The smart ones have already 'exited', I would bet.
