Russia has practiced delivering a retaliatory nuclear strike

 Russia, according to the new military concept adopted by the parliament and approved by the president, can launch a nuclear strike on those countries whose weapons were used against Russian territory. This is a conceptual decision. That is, if a missile made in Germany, France, Britain or the USA flies to Russian territory, Russia can respond with a nuclear strike on the territory of these countries. This is the new Russian law.

The same was true during the Cold War, and that possibility has been true even after the Cold War until now. It's nothing new.
