I just recently dusted off my guitar after a couple years of sitting idle and cleaned it up a bit. This happened because it was set up near a big basement window that the new washer/dryer is coming through and we're getting ready for that, but I got sidetracked and went into full-blown guitar setup mode instead.
I got a big Raven amp with a 15" speaker, and a smaller Fender with a 12". I set the Fender on top of the Raven and I'll be plugged into and using both at the same time – it's a pretty cool looking stack!! I plugged the guitar into the Raven and then I go out from the effects(send) into the Fender. I also have a Metal Master pedal between the guitar and Raven.
The guitar strings have certainly seen better days, so I'll be re-stringing that today, and while the strings are off I can clean the guitar up a bit more with some Guitar Honey on the fretboard and whatnot.
I'm also going to tune the guitar down a few Hertz from 440 to maybe 432 for starters, and then the real fun begins when I start playing around with all the effects, volume, and tone controls I'm going to have.
