No clay ones (and it's not that old) but here's one of the most intriguing radar visual pilot 'flying disc' encounters I've come across.
Apparently there were three of the objects and after the incident 'they sped off towards Mount Popocatepetl' (known UFO hotspot).

Pilot Carlos Antonio de los Santos Montiel describes three radar confirmed 'disc shaped' objects which flew alongside his aircraft over Lake Tequesquitengo, Mexico, May 3rd, 1975.
