Well, current measurements are in, and a bunch of science folks are saying...
It did the exact opposite. It actually cooled the planet.
In other words, were it not for the eruption, the past 2 record warm years would have been even hotter ....
It's really not good news at all!

The La Palma eruptions weren't powerful enough to put SO2 into the stratosphere. If they had been, it would also have caused cooling - it's the basis behind one of the ideas for geoengineering to counter global warming; spraying SO2 into the stratosphere
So2 is NOT a greenhouse gas!
