If you weren't fixated on your thoughts and problems why did you answered that part of my post as if it was directed to you?

Maybe fixated is not the best word to describe it, but when someone reads something and thinks that it is directed to them and to the topic they are talking about without noticing that it really doesn't apply to it, what do you call that?

I think my other posts here and elsewhere bear this out with crystal clarity.  The 'problem' (with political discussions) I illustrated is not mine, and it stems from a tone which repeatedly tries to be set here, a tone which is not rooted in open mindedness and discovery, but rather in ignorance and denial of reality.

If you have a problem with political discussions on this forum or any other then it's your problem, even if shared by other people.
In this particular case I don't share that problem with you (I have different problems with political discussion), so, to me, that is "your problem", part of "your problems".

I would think you personally would agree with my posture on politics more than most.  Portugal, for such a small country population wise, has had tremendous impact on World geopolitics and history.  The Portuguese were some of the greatest explorers in all of history (rivaling even that of the great Italian explorers of antiquity like Christopher Columbus).  The result of these travails has been a centuries long series of political battles over both territory and ideology.  It is a rich history indeed, but one fraught with political struggles across the entire spectrum of politics.  In fact, it still blows my mind that Macau remained a Portuguese territory until 1999, and East Timor remained a Portuguese territory until 2002.  If there's one thing the Portuguese know how to do well and in spades...it's politics.

Politics is not for me, much less political discussions, in the same way I do not have discussions about soccer and very little about religion (and never about which religion is the best).

Fixated?  Perhaps...but not on my 'own' thoughts and problems, but rather the problems of the greater good and the future of mankind.  Seems pretty important to me.  Doesn't it to you?

What is allowed or not on a private forum doesn't sound like a "future of mankind" problem to me.
