Then what? I'm curious, enlighten me!

Perhaps you will find this useful? https://wildsimplejoy.com/enlightenment-...r-meaning/

Though LOL perhaps hitting the gym and learning HVAC repair may be more practical advice for self-improvement too! No reason not to do both I guess. Choose your own adventure. Smile

Funnily enough I thought about posting that quote!

I am not what people might assume I am regarding my own viewpoint. No one ever asks me lol.

People throw generic terms about casually and as they do so expose themselves despite themselves!

Just silly stuff and I like to push them on it. Who knows, I might learn something!

If you ask me I'd say not a clue. For me it's just something that happens. I hardly sought it out, studied it or even knew if it's existence beforehand.

First time I listened to Narayana by the prodigy was about a year ago...

I changed my underpants yesterday. Sometimes I question why we change underpants. Do we do it for ourselves or is it for everyone else?

instructions..I need to follow the rabbit still on it, it's possibly something they do from Genpo Roshi , "Voice Dialogue" combined with other practices. These practices often lead to horrors and other side effects, so I first want more info before I just post stuff..

"I" didn't have control it wasn't me, more like merging consciousness with something else and looking through it's eyes, I was also still there.. It was pretty horrifying to be honest after the fact. Fortunately it's not a thing happening to me and just something I induced.

My experiences have always been perfectly peaceful although "it's as if I was looking through another's eyes" is something I've said in the past when talking about this.

Idk, I would've said it was me in control. When I was about 1 my mum's friend let me 'drive the car' as I sat on her knee and she assisted, maybe it's a bit more like that?

I have a sense that levels of peace such as I felt in those moments are seldom ever achieved in company.

It is true that stuff just happens however pursuing a particular practice would suggest a goal of some sort.

You say in your earlier post here that you just float around with a new level of perception. Where are you floating and what are you perceiving?

I think hygiene might be a good reason for changing my underwear.

The point is always whatever your intent is. A flight of fancy, problem solving, exploration, spiritual experience, relaxation.

Sometimes you just go wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee and then something next to you goes whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa. It's. all weird and fun, beautiful and terrifying  [Image: cthulhu.gif]

Yep, pursuing a practice of sleep. The goal being getting some rest. I was lucid dreaming and figured out ways of becoming 'autonomous' within sleep at a very young age too. Idk, what to say about such things other some of us get lucky. That or this is all totally natural which brings a whole host of questions and conundrums. The main one being should such practices only be seen from that 'sanctified' perception. As if it belongs to someone or something.

Where I'm floating is just above the body, at first. I've went to places I know but that's about it. Dreamlike visuals bathed in moonlight although it's more like night vision. It's as if you're looking through the eyes of an ant or something extremely small. The sense of timelessness you get just before and during the first moments of sleep doesn't leave you.

I'd be the first to admit it could all be imagination and dreams, it might as well be for me.

Too clean is as equally dangerous as dirty, hygiene is a good reason to change pants. Ever wonder why you're wearing them in the first place?

I like that Ray. I like honesty!

Some people wear underwear some don't, such is the way. There may be many reasons why and of course we are brought up in a culture where we are conditioned (for want of a better word) to do so.

I never comment on lucid dreaming. It sounds like it is what it is! Astral projection might need something a little more tangible to support it as a real thing. So I question it and people react defensively lol.

Physiologically it's exactly like taking drugs and unless you do it yourself you won't know the experience. But you can see everyone talks about it and does it again and again. Add to this some form of physical actions and theatre aimed at dissociation and psychologically you flip out psychically.

Many experience are shared, some are not and some manifest  [Image: jaws.gif]

The quests to break the chains. epistemological and political
Quote:In the allegory, Plato describes people who have spent their entire lives chained by their necks and ankles in front of an inner wall with a view of the empty outer wall of the cave. They observe the shadows projected onto the outer wall by objects carried behind the inner wall by people who are invisible to the chained “prisoners” and who walk along the inner wall with a fire behind them, creating the shadows on the inner wall in front of the prisoners. The "sign bearers" pronounce the names of the objects, the sounds of which are reflected near the shadows and are understood by the prisoners as if they were coming from the shadows themselves.
