Have you ever seen the opposite of a shadow thing? I one time saw a shadow when I looked instead of moving through a wall it lit up like an hourglass made of sunlight then sort of just twisted itself into nothing.
I'm pretty sure we're all crazy
I would never pretend that I have expertise in this area... I have no credential of 'authenticity', no social currency to bandy about; I'm just another person with an idea....
You are not "crazy."
Too many people experience this... nearly all of them quick to pass it off as 'inconsequential, trivial, and "probably" explicable via the religion of science.
What really interests me is the form of the experience... the perception that immediately accompanies the fleeting 'sight.'
No, people who experience this are definitely not crazy. If they are, it's incidental.

Being crazy is 50% incidental and 50% required.
To reply to 85303, the orb/light thing is very common. Mostly Christians report about it because it's connected to angles for them. For allot of other folks is just energy made form, it's also easy to dismiss because of the ethereal qualities. We could go down the whole UFO thing also.
It all depends on the context, a friendly flowy orb. OR a blinding light pinning you down and doing unpleasant things.

Always floaty orbs.
Was raised Christian but never believed more than the general idea of positive energy.
I do have a protective chaos star tattoo on the back of my neck. Didn't realize all that's tied into that mess when I spontaneously had the idea to get it. Now I wonder what a sigil for protection and understanding directly over a supposed Chakra (back of neck) does in regard to this idea. I'm not a wizard or warlock or whatever the relativistic term is to my knowledge, but damnit I don't know why I got that there. Spontaneous
The answer to why a chaos star is bad medicine. Stopped that but it lasts forever or so I heard.

your not going to like this: don't manifest things on yourself aka. creating a tulpa...or at least understand what you are getting into.
Sadly I just rushed through Chakra's years ago and can't actually give you advice on it.

ngl I found this very disturbing, still thinking about it. It makes allot of sense, especially thinking about my pets also.
Children and animals tortures/plays with other things like this and thinking I disturbed it is kind of creeeeeeeepy

Yeah stupid kid me. Read fifteen books on existentialism and magik all of a sudden the child thinks it knows but it's too late.
Not trying to derail the topic, I've always liked the little guys floating around. My imagination stretches from multidimensional insects on the fringe of our world maybe less aware of us than we are to them. Aliens remote viewing through tech or a deeper connection we share all the way to lost children who were never given a chance to live, of which I have some, love the idea their still with us.
Some thoughts provoke comfort some curiousity. Never danger. That happens in dreams. Equally as "crazy" at least being scared in a dream can be fun when i wake up. There's another thread for that but I think that one derailed a bit also.

Indeed I have seen light anomalies as well, it drives me crazy we arent able to explain these things yet.

That distancing/barrier/border is caused by the simple fact that we exist as a body in a physical world, but consciousness is apart from that physicality. We continually know, and must do so, a "nuts and bolts" type of awareness of the world. The intangible, fleeting indications of other "stuff" floats into our awareness at times, but have no anchors to which we can grasp to aid in an understanding. Perhaps old works from the ancients have explanations, but few of us spend the time and effort to study them.
Intelligence seeks to proliferate itself
not necessarily via its own kind.
