Well, that's an amazing coincidence, midicon. It shows your poem resonates in that direction.
I think the length and detail is just right. Perhaps it could be worked into multiple poems, narrating the story like a 3 Act structure. I believe that would help in avoiding trivializing the case, which I don't think you have at all.

I think that's a neat idea Encia. I might pursue that and see where it goes. A three part structure could complete it. There is more than enough material. These things really write themselves, I just choose which words I find most appealing.
Thank you for taking the time to post and give feedback!

So you are right! The time of death would not even matter.
lol I never got the PM haha! It went to you! I will check again

I'm not sure though if an accurate time of death would have solved anything unless it didn't agree with her parents account. That account meant her death occurred between 10.30pm and 7am when the note was found.
The case appeared for me as a Youtube suggestion and I had never heard of it before. I spent a few days on it out of curiosity. I think that little poem is my catharsis lol. I should maybe have added a verse or two on theories and my own opinion on the matter but I could go on forever.
Thanks for commenting Quantum, you are very kind. I did send you a PM but I'm not much of a navigator on here and think I somehow managed tp send it to myself. I've sent two PM's that appear in my own inbox lol.
Thanks expert! I'm not sure I could ever live up to fabulous lol. I kind of like the idea of writing little sort of nursery rhymes. Its natural for me. Silly I know and anyone could probably do it. There are so many clever people here.
Thanks again!

Did you guys see that Dance Moms did something very creepy and controversial?
The new Dance Moms had one of the little girls dress up as Jon Benet and do a dance about her, even the strangulation.

That was bizarre Flyers, those people are nuts. This is the world we live in.
Let me answer your questions if I may.
The parents were not sent to search for the body. It was assumed she had been kidnapped and was not in the house. They were sent to look around for anything out of place.
No one allowed the dad to move the body, he did so on his own accord when he 'discovered' her. He was accompanied by Fleet White.
The ransom note asking for a sum that was the same as the father's bonus is one of the mysteries. There are many ways the miscreant could have gained that information both from inside and outside the home. It is also perhaps a red herring.
Back to that link you posted. How on Earth anyone would think that was acceptable in any way shape or form is beyond me.

Just wait until you get a car with a tablet built into the dash, if you don't already have one. I have to reboot my newer car from time to time. *sigh*
Luckily, that's the SO's primary car. I still drive an old beater I'll probably just keep driving until it blows up.
I have some el-cheapo Pyle branded dashcam for the old car. It records in HD, reacts to bumps and motion, and takes surprisingly good quality video. I think I paid $27 for it, new.

Utterly tasteless. Why on earth would someone do this and then put it on Access Hollywood or whatever they call that show now(I don't watch TV anymore and haven't for YEARS).
Something is extremely wrong with the world, I must say.
Whether its Twitter or Facebook,
By Hook or Crook,
Won't someone tell me what to believe today?
To the opie:
This poem brings up a very old and emotional topic for a lot of people. This was in the news for YEARS. Since the topic is new to you, if you can find the historical copy, the "National Enquirer" was all over this story from day 1. The paper was a well known tabloid rag at the time, and I believe this was one of their first attempts to legitimize the paper with "investigative reporting". I believe their coverage was actually referred to in court at some point during the case.

Hi LOst,
I did say I spent a couple of days on this topic but it was probably more like a week. I really did write that little rhyme to extricate myself from it!
I'm not sure if I read that National Enquirer issue or just some excerpts but I definitely came across it. I think I know everything that can be known about the whole sorry affair. I also pursued all the psychological and psychiatric evaluations etc.
Thanks for commenting, I do appreciate it!

Edit Reason: added content

Just some more traction on the case, for those interested...
From FoxNews: JonBenet Ramsey's father has high hopes for fifth Colorado chief to take on 30-year murder case
Chief Stephen Redfearn, who served as the interim chief for the Boulder Police Department starting in January, is the fifth police chief at BPD to take on the JonBenet Ramsey case nearly 30 years after the 6-year-old beauty pageant participant was mysteriously murdered in her home Dec. 26, 1996.
...
Evidence that has never been tested for traces of DNA includes the garrote found around JonBenet's neck, a ransom note found in the Ramsey house on the morning of the murder, a suitcase found in the basement that authorities believe the killer used to escape out a window, an unknown flashlight found on the Ramsey family's kitchen counter the morning of the murder and unknown rope found in her brother Burke Ramsey's room that day, according to public records initially obtained by journalist Paula Woodward, as Fox News Digital previously reported.
...
"We have an unidentified male DNA result from the testing they did in 1997, which … by today's standards, it was primitive," Ramsey explained. "But we have an unidentified male DNA sample, which was reported to the police in January 1997. They kept that a secret because it conflicted with their conclusion that we were guilty. How do we explain that away? Which they tried desperately to do."
Just adding this to the conversation...
[In retrospect, I owe Midicon and apology for this post, it was is entirely "off-topic"...
The topic is the excellent poem we were offered...
and all of this side conversation sort of ignores that...
Anyone care to start a separate thread about the Jon Benet Ramsey mystery?

You don't owe me anything Max, you are on topic and have given my poem a bump!
I dont think there is enough interest in such an old case that would give traction to such a thread. I did consider it.
There are too many 'side conversations' in the form of clues that distract and lead nowhere. I almost wrote a follow up poem that included Keyser Soze in one line!
I can't even bring myself to say what I think happened as I could be wrong.
Thanks for taking an interest and commenting here Max. I do appreciate it!
