Is it just me, or did the replies icon go away?

Is it just me, or did the replies icon go away?  I could swear there used to be an indicator next to the "Inbox" icon which showed if someone had replied to any posts.  Is this no longer a feature?

Thx!

Yeah, there was an Inbox tabby next to the now missing tabby.

Glad I am not the only one thinking a tab is missing !

Please be patient.

Deny Ignorance is still growing, and some aspects of it's design and operational parameters are undergoing review (and some tweaking) to further diagnose/improve its' performance.  That inevitably will lead to some minor changes and quirks as many of you have noted.  These developmental efforts will usually lead to temporary fluctuations/changes.

Soon, I suspect, our chief designer and programmer will be responding to your inquiries.

Meanwhile, you can help by sharing your ongoing observations... thanks for helping!

Max, no worries.  Not in a rush.  Just saw it and thought I'd flag it up.

Just seemed weird because I was pretty sure I saw that feature and then I didn't.

I noticed it too, and thought maybe I was going crazy! Please bring it back!

If this is the software I think it is(looks very much like phpbb to me), I believe there is a way to turn off the stupid popup modal dialog on a post that says its doing whatever will refresh in 5 seconds or whatever it says, which is a completely pointless feature IMHO. Might require a change of template or serious edits, though. I don't remember its been a while. To me, its just an unnecessary delay... though maybe its could be viewed as a way to threshold bots.

Edit to add:

Okay, I was wrong.. its myBB... carry on! LOL

My apologies. I've been bug testing trying to remove the page jerk upon every page refresh. I had to temporarily deactivate some plugins and that was the only one I had an issue reinstalling. I have however figured that one out and I will restore the alert system shortly. The page jerk, however, remains. If I have to rebuild the theme I will. It's a small nuisance but it's driving me nuts.  Lol

ATS has that too. I wouldn't care to remove it either.

I always hated the feel of phpbb. ATS was based on XMB, and mybb was forked from XMB. DI has the same bones as ATS.

Yeah they're all related. I believed phpBB was the original project that's been forked a bunch of times.

Thanks for pointing out the page jerk LOL I hadn't noticed it until you pointed it out and now I notice it every time! Ahhhh! lol

Page jerk goes away if I disable rocket-loader.min.js. The script keeps all js from executing until after the full page load, which is why it jumps because you're effectively reloading the "above the fold" content.

Might be able to work around that with making some changes to the order in the way the files are served via http/2.

Thank you for that. That gives me a lead. Tweaking with it now.
