UFOs And Stopped Clocks - Karl12 - 11-20-2024 There's been some decidedly freaky aspects to global UFO reports over the years and one factor which seems to keep on popping up is the stopping of (or interference with) clocks and watches during a UFO encounter. Seems sometimes multiple timepieces are involved but it doesn't seem to matter about mains or separate battery power and non electric watches have also been affected - bizarrely some UFO witnesses have also reported different watches refusing to work after their experience or clocks stopping after they touch them. Like with the animal reaction aspect, if a person goes back and looks through some of the older UFO literature then relevant nuggets in the case details do seem to stand out. Am sure there'll be plenty more examples out there so if anyone's aware of any (or has opinions about what's going on) then please post away. Casefiles: • Some extremely strange UFO accounts at the link below taken from a pretty awesome archive of newspaper clippings (primarily from the 1970s and 1980s) compiled by Loren E. Gross - full list well worth a read on a rainy day. Quote:Salesman Alan Cave claims he became a time traveler the day he spotted a strange orange cloud. And Quote:It was a shaken John Struble who got the cement truck under way again after the object was gone, who noticed moments later that his watch apparently had been stopped too. Mrs. Struble said the watch had kept perfect time prior to the sighting, and was five minutes slow afterwards — approximately the duration of the UFO appearance. And Quote:Springfield, Missouri - April, 1984. Likewise some extremely interesting reading found in Keith Basterfield's full catalogue linked below (I thought so anyway) - some details also include timepiece tampering. Quote:20 Aug 1979 Hatfield Tas 2128hrs And Quote:Nov 1974 The Sideling Tas Ca. 2300hrs Nicap's Report on EM effects also brings up a case from Santa Fe, New Mexico during the early November, 1957 flap where a car clock and wristwatch stopped working as a UFO passed over a motor vehicle. In Norway, October, 1956 a UFO also flew in front of motor vehicle and hovered over the road - according to jeweller the wristwatch of the witness was 'magnetized': Electromagnetic Effects Associated with Unidentified Flying Objects (PDF File) RE: UFOs And Stopped Clocks - UltraBudgie - 11-20-2024 This is a great idea for a thread and you've brought lots of evidence. I am thinking, in some of these cases, is it the watch or the people who are affected? Imagine, if you will, that rather than the watches being stopped, the consciousness perceiving them was somehow sped up or moved into a different timeframe. What would that do to you? Well, external processes, like car engines running, clocks ticking, etc., would appear to slow down or halt. Lights would dim or seem to go dark. You might feel paralyzed, if your body's nervous system suddenly seemed to be running 100x slower than your awareness. And there would be little to no evidence when things returned to normal. Now some of these accounts don't match that, with evidence of residual magnetic effects, burnt out car parts, etc., but it's interesting to think about. RE: UFOs And Stopped Clocks - Karl12 - 11-20-2024 Great reply there mate and lots more examples to post - my thoughts have been going in the same direction recently and consciousness (even though science doesn't know what it is) does seem to play a role in some of these experiences. Certainly some food for thought there that it's the witness (and not the watch) that is being affected and there's another relevant thread here about time anomalies - you're absolutely right that it's interesting to think about lol. There's another case below from Red River Valley in Minnesota where Police Officer Val Johnson witnessed a UFO descend on his car causing him to lose consciousness - apparently the patrol car clock and officer's wristwatch also both lost 14 minutes. Quote:There was a crack in the windshield on the driver's side, that ran from top to bottom, with four apparent impacts. The electric clock was running 14 minutes slow, as was Johnson's wristwatch. Also don't know if you've come across this freaky case but there are some pretty bizarre aspects. Quote:The women told Black about the abduction and its effects on their bodies. For instance, all three women had lost weight and Louise said her parakeet became upset when she tried to touch it. Her Nova also had lasting electrical problems and her alarm clock stopped working after she touched it. RE: UFOs And Stopped Clocks - Karl12 - 11-20-2024 Similar to the Socorro incident one year earlier, French lavender farmer Maurice Masse experiences a daylight, close range sighting of a small, egg shaped UFO emitting a strange hissing sound - two jumpsuit wearing, big headed occupants also spotted. The farmer was 'paralysed' by a device held by one of the occupants before they both entered UFO and flew away - farmer also reported to have trouble with different watches refusing to work after the sighting and was 'unable to wear them anymore'. See 20:10 Link Directory At White Acres farm in Rosedale, Australia another farmer witnesses a UFO (domed disc shaped) with orange and blue lights about ten feet above the ground - the object then briefly hovered over a water tank and landed 50 feet away. Whistling sound, physical trace evidence, missing water and bizarre wristwatch malfunction reported. Quote:The witness experienced an unusual recurring headache for 7 to 8 days. Vomiting and diarrhoea also persisted for the same period of time. For 3 days after the incident, the witness's watch refused to work when he tried to wear it. Before and after this period it worked without any problems. I, myself lost over two hours one October night in 1964. I made a tentative case last month in these pages for the wide-spread use of a time-stopping device for machines travelling long-distance in space (light-years) and as a personal piece of equipment (wrist watch type) for the ETs and elite in the ancient days. RE: UFOs And Stopped Clocks - Karl12 - 11-20-2024 • July 9th, 1965, Santa Maria, Azores - couldn't find much more about this case but it sounds like an intriguing one and there's a relevant follow up newsclipping underneath. • Clocks At Airport Stopped When UFO Passes Over. Quote:July 9th, 1965 - Santa Maria, Azores. • Pine Bush UFO witness Elaine Crampton also talks about her clocks. See 6:50 Quote:"We looked at our clocks and we had three battery running clocks, two in the kitchen and one in the living room and for some strange reason all three clocks were stopped at the same time" RE: UFOs And Stopped Clocks - midicon - 11-21-2024 Perhaps weather and atmospheric anomalies can affect certain types of time pieces. Like electro magnetic effects. Uri Geller could stop watches all over the country lol. Just ask the general public. Sorry to hear that - don't know if I'd personally undergo hypnosis (or if you consider it effective) but there are some pretty intriguing (and disturbing) examples out there. Was going through different cases a while back and didn't realise that both Betty and Barney Hill also had their watches stop (bleeping sounds also seem to play a role in some of these cases). • September 19th, 1961, New Hampshire - Betty and Barney Hill: Video One Video Two - See 05:10 Quote:When we entered onto the main highway, we heard a second series of beeping sounds. And we came home, looking for the craft all the way and not seeing it. EM effects were my first go to mate but there are some decidedly freaky aspects that don't seem to fit (just like with AR) - loads of apparent EM cases out there though and apparently lots of members from the scientific community (and Congress) took this catalogue very seriously back in the sixties. There's an official Judicial Court case below from Mendoza, Argentina, August 31st , 1968 which I found really interesting as the Police casefile describes a close range UFO (and occupant) sighting resulting in another stopped wristwatch containing 'antimagnetic rubies'. • Argentina: The Night a UFO Shook Mendoza Awake Quote:Over 50 years ago, the courts of the city of Mendoza (Argentina) engaged in the investigation of a strange claim that became local and national news: the Villegas and Peccinetti Case - two employees of the Mendoza Casino who claimed having been intercepted by a UFO and five aliens in the city, near the Liceo Militar. The reason I found it interesting is that I also came across this report from the same town one month earlier involving a nurse at a local hospital witnessing a UFO and having a stopped wristwatch later found to be radioactive. Quote:1968 - At 1:20 a.m. in Mendoza, Argentina Ms. Adela Casalvieri, night nurse at the Neuropsychiatry Hospital, heard a loud penetrating humming noise outside in the hospital courtyard. Going out to see what it was, she observed a saucer-shaped landed object only 20 meters away. It was brightly luminous and sitting in the middle of the courtyard. A luminous red beam came from the object and struck her, and she found that her legs were paralyzed. Putting her hands up to her face for protection she now found she was completely unable to move. She remained immobilized for a number of minutes until the red beam was extinguished. At this time the object ascended vertically, then flew off rapidly to the south barely clearing the wall that surrounded the courtyard. Before it disappeared she was able to observe several human-looking figures through square portholes that encircled the craft. These beings moved back and forth, passing each other, and were visible from the waist up only. Landing gear imprints were found at the landing site and several small potted trees had been burned. Mrs Casalvieri had first-degree burns on her face and hands, and parts of her nurse's cap and clothing were singed. In addition, her watch, which had stopped at 1:30 a.m., was found to be radioactive, as was her ring. I wonder too if the electro magnetic effects affect the human psyche. There is a lot going on here that might be both objective and subjective. |
