We could hardly call him in shouting "SAMBO"!  Could we?

I don't know about you or other cat lovers here, but every cat of mine had three names each, depending on the situation (good/bad) and moods. Like today, I was trying to get my cat to venture down the basement to access a window leading to an outdoor catio, but my daughter's other cats use it too, and she is an isolationist, so today her name was "problem child".

Jones was the name of the cat in the movie Alien

We have :

Whiskey
Turtle
Ozzy
Redrum { that's murder spelled backwards }
Randy Rhoades
Slim Shady
Snots
Squirrel
Ghost
Tony not Tiger { because there were 2 that looked exactly alike and one was name Tony and one was named Tiger but Tiger disappeared }
Sybil { because she has a different personality every day }
Dracula { friggin' HUGE black cat with long fangs that hang out of his mouth }
Boxcar Willie { he shows up every few days so he's a hobo }
Shithead
Tinker
Pepe Le Pew { solid black/long haired/fluffy with a white stripe down his back. When he first wandered up I just thought he was another skunk but nope...it's a cat }

...and there's female I call Baby Mama who Will Not let us catch her so we can get her fixed, so now we have a litter of 4 who haven't been named yet.

You think it's easy catching a mostly feral cat ? Remember that scene in Rocky where he's chasing a chicken ? Yeah..that. With teeth, claws and a willingness to use them.

I buy cat food in 30lb bags.

Stay tuned for further updates.

Oh...and we have 3 dogs. Coco, Jack and Samson.

Randy Rhoades?

He's not black with white polka dots, by any chance?

Problem Child was one of Ian M Banks' Ship names.

We had up to five cats at a time.  Two outside, and no more than three inside cats.  We also had bunnies twenty years ago....they can be trained to use a litter box too..  We had outside bunnies living in a log pile in a fenced in area, a few bunnies running around the house trying to hump the female cat all the time...which really pissed her off...and then some in the basement in cages.

Now we have none.  We don't want any anymore, we are getting more depressed when a cat we have had for many years dies.  I also am getting tired of making coffins for them, usually out of solid oak boards all fancied up and stained and varnished.  Plus, since we are oldER now, we do not want to worry about what is going to happen to the cats after we die.  My one daughter has six plus three more they take care of for friends who can't have them in their place.  Two of them belong to a friend who has been at Mayos with cancer for a year and a half now. the other daughter has five plus two tortoises and fish tanks .

It is really expensive these days to have pets, the price of litter for a pile of cats is depressing.  And the food seems to be getting worse and worse, it seems that cats don't like science related diets.  They are screwing up the cats foods terribly these days, I think cat food was more healthy years ago than now.  We were buying a four pound bag for eighteen bucks that was decent for the cats, a local vet who was picky with contents started a local brand.  Less health issues from that food...lots less puke to clean up and less trips to the vets with that one.  NOT CHEAP to have cats anymore.  We miss them, but we have memories of them still.

It is nice not having to worry about cats when we go somewhere.

My all time fave, too.

Only thing that bothered me, why the Hell didn't they leave someone aboard the Sulaco?
