Good Horror Films.
Appreciate all the additions and yes 'The Substance' was awesome.

Haven't seen this one yet but it's from the same Aussie guys that directed 'Talk To Me' and is meant to be rather good.

• 'Bring Her Back'

Cheers.
Wow no one mentioned Captain Spalding or the Hills have eyes.

Wouldn't put this as 'horror' but it's insanely psychologically disturbing and entertaining.

Loads of great actors and acting but nobody has ever heard of it because they buried it (because it happens).

I was on vacation last week and I saw three.  I won't post links to trailers but I'd rate them in the order:

The Last Voyage of the Demeter:
Roma's rating - very good.  It was based on the Captain's logs from the original Dracula novel and gives you the 'trapped with nowhere to go' vibe that the first Alien film did so well.  I would definitely recommend this.

28 Years Later: The Bone Temple.
Roma's rating - good.  Probably the 3rd best in the films, and not nearly as suspenseful as part one.  I'd still say it's worth watching if you enjoy the series.

Dracula 2026:
Roma's rating - bad.  Okay, let's unpack this.  The opening scene with Vlad and his princess was beautiful, heartwarming even.  The cinematography was also very good.  The rest (without too many spoilers) was garbage.  Christoph Walt's priest was a poor Van Helsing substitute.  The rest must've had Bram Stoker rolling over in his grave.  It might be okay if you have nothing better to watch but don't rent it, like I did.

Cheers.

I'm not a horror movie fan, but I can tolerate a good Dracula movie, but the costume/make up of this Dracula reminds me of a really pissed off Ferengi from Star Trek. When I started dating my partner we only went to see horror films and I got to the point of desensitization where I would critique the costume/make up/acting. So except for that, it's a suspenseful movie that kept my interest.

I'm not into horror/slasher (or fantasy for that matter).  Only Si-Fi.  Preferably plausible.

But if its a good story with good acting -- I'll watch it.

Jason Stratham?  ANY TIME  Smilegrin -- no matter the genre.

It sounds similar to the Russian Roulette scene from the 'Deerhunter' movie, which at the time, was somewhat of a horror to me.

Yes their race was explored on DS9 but on Star Trek they were portrayed horribly. LOL

Can't say I remember exactly how they were portrayed on Star Trek - except they had/have no morals.

DS9 added humor to their character.
