It sure is taking longer than I thought. I figured it would be over by summer. It's difficult to tell what the real age-demographic situation is in Ukraine. Guess they've still got some fighting to do! It's a balancing act, letting Russia take the dremel to them to shape the post-war configuration that Ukraine is going to fall into, but not letting them advance too far west so it becomes too difficult to defend mineral extraction once the lines settle:





See how Russia's already starting to move in on the southern extent of that sweet sweet iron and rare earth stash? Plus, there's good farmland there! Yet, if we don't keep letting them hammer some more, Ukraine might still have enough spunk to unify and prevent us from grabbing it after the war's over. The idea is to grind enough of their adult male population away to only leave the violent, disillusioned youth, who can easily be manipulated into a civil war after Russia has been appeased. That will pretty much give the US and European interests carte blanche to carve up what remains, economically.

Oh, I forgot, there is also the little kimono-lifting game of testing Russia's drone and counter-drone technologies, and, by proxy, China and Iran's too. Has the point of diminishing return has been reached there yet?

Nowadays one has to vett every media story and every media source... we have azzhat podcastsand blogs that look legit but yeah

RT is well-known for misinformational posts and stories since before a Trump Presidency
