Why do we not want to contact the other side?

Just thinking about this I always hear 'That's something you shouldn't do or dabble with" Why is that?

Shouldn't we want to learn everything about the other side why wouldn't it be as normal as identifying the fish in the Sea?

Shouldn't we be scientifically documenting way to contrafact the other dimension to better understand it to verify it exists or to determine its all in our heads or something we personally project . 

We can invite all that is on the "other side" to the point it becomes a normal everyday experience to better understand what is there why does it have to be something forbidden?

How do you contact something that exists outside of spacetime?

Contact requires interaction, some exchange of energy, information, or influence within spacetime.

If none of that can happen, then the concept of "contact" doesn't even apply.

They do have some experiments trying to determine if other dimensions exist. And this guy claims that quantum computers use other dimensions.

Because the beings that are available to contact, are not there for your wellbeing. Quite the opposite, in fact.

I think some of these questions may approach the arena of Godhood.   That doesn't mean it is off-limits forever, but perhaps could reveal incredibly important information, of which we may lack the maturity to properly utilize. 

That's not the way of humanity though.   We are forever blessed with an insatiable curiosity.   Perhaps that is what is so attractive about us to the "aliens".  

Maybe it is our destiny to discover all these things.   I believe there have been civilizations on the Earth prior to our recorded history.  If that is true, I wonder what mystic truths they discovered and did those things lead to their demise?

If this Earth is a skool like I keep saying, then we are here for specific tasks and lessons. Dabbling in the occult or gnosticism is fine, but it's not part of the lesson plan and it usually leads to dead ends.

It's like saying we're here to learn music and math but we want to keep dabbling in Pokemon cards instead. It's fine if that's what you want to do, but don't be surprised if you don't do well on your exams. 

It's not something I recommend though. This Earth is full of push and pull factors coming from those "other sides" and most people don't know sheet from shinola to be dealing with it. 

Just like everyone wants to do psychedelics and DMT because it'd be really cool to get really high and see cool stuff--but what did you learn to get there? 

If you haven't mastered the lessons here, what makes you think you'll master anything out there?

As someone who used to find this type of topic comical, I do not anymore. And from the incident that happened I think I would rather not.
I think it would be wise to not pursue that but you do you and please tell us how it turns out.
