Liberal Cardinal, claiming to speak for all of Catholicdom, says "everyone wants another Francis".
Translated into bureaucrat speak 'The global elites want another Francis' ; see my post above; they are gradually watering down the Church to be more compliant with Global-speak.
They want to get rid of anything conservative and Catholic.
Eventually the Catholic Church will be phased out and you will get a Global 'Religion'
Muslims are too feisty, but the Nazis like them.
They just dont do well with technocracy.
The funny thing is, it fits in with prophecy.

To narrow the whole of End-Time events down to a single aspect, do we see the beginnings of a One World Religion? When viewed through the lens of the largest “Christian” denomination in the world, Roman Catholicism, the answer would seem to be yes.
A One World Religion Headquarters is set to open in 2022. The headquarters will be called The Abrahamic Family House and is being built on an island in the middle eastern city of Abu Dhabi.
The headquarters is being done in collaboration with Pope Francis and Sunni Muslim leader, Sheikh Ahmen al-Tayeb, after they both signed a global peace covenant called the Document of Human Fraternity for World Peace.

Personally, I am more Daoist than anything, Thelema is like that; so I don't mind if the Church goes away, but all the signs are there.

St. Malahy Prophecy of Peter the Roman .... some front runner names with 'Peter' ... Cardinal Pietro Parolin (bad), Cardinal Peter Erdo (very good), Cardinal Peter Turkson (bad), and Cardinal Pierbattista Pizzaballa (good). (“Pier” is a form of “Peter”; his first name means “Peter the Baptist”).

The Conclave ... day one .... (Keep in mind the Vatican is 6 hours ahead of us)
Quote:- 4 a.m. ET (10 a.m. Vatican time): Cardinals will gather for Mass “Pro Eligendo Romano Pontefice” (Holy Mass for the Election of the Roman Pontiff) in St. Peter’s Basilica in the Vatican.
- 10:30 a.m. ET (4:30 p.m. Vatican time): The 133 cardinal electors will assemble in Pauline Chapel in the Apostolic Palace to pray the Litany of the Saints and then proceed to the Sistine Chapel.
- The cardinals then swear an oath to fulfill the Munus Petrinum (translated from Latin as the "office" or "mission" of Peter) if they are elected pope.
- The Master of Pontifical Liturgical Ceremonies then proclaims "extra omnes" (everyone out), ordering everyone not involved in the conclave to leave the Sistine Chapel.
- Cardinal Raniero Cantalamessa, Preacher Emeritus of the Papal Household, will deliver the second meditation to the cardinal electors, in the presence of the Master of Liturgical Ceremonies.
- Afterwards, Cardinal Cantalamessa and the Master of Liturgical Ceremonies will leave the chapel and voting begins.
- The first ballot will be cast Wednesday evening (Vatican time), May 7, according to Vatican News. Voting will then happen four times daily over the following days, twice in the morning and twice in the evening.

That would be a good payout if Pizzaballa wins. Shame they can't keep their names.
They pretty much all have the same top 9 candidates.
From Sportsbook Review:
Quote:- Pietro Parolin (+225)
- Luis Antonio Tagle (+300)
- Matteo Zuppi (+600)
- Peter Turkson (+700)
- Pierbattista Pizzaballa (+800)
- Peter Erdo (+1000)
- Robert Sarah (+1600)
- Fridolin Ambongo Besungu (+2000)
- Jean-Marc Aveline (+2000)
From Covers.com
Quote:- Pietro Parolin: 26%
- Luis Antonio Tagle: 22%
- Matteo Zuppi: 10%
- Pierbattista Pizzaballa: 9%
- Peter Erdo: 7%
- Peter Turkson: 6%
- Jean-Marc Aveline: 5%
- Fridolin Ambongo: 3%
- Robert Sarah: 2%
The more I think about it, the more I can see every site's second betting favorite winning, like Soveirgnty did. I see the favorite falling off, but only in the spirit of emphasing progress by choosing "The First Asian Pope."
Last time it was "The First South American Pope." Once that trend of firsts start, it's usually off to the races in checking off the diversity quota. But this conclave is unpredictable. Erdo, The Hungarian Darkhorse, or Pizzaballa could rise. They seem the best hope of stopping the Francis continuation.
And based on that, and what seems like the ceiling for conservative odds, here is my Superfecta.
1. Parolin
2. Tagle
3. Zuppi
4. Erdo

Since this is a Catholic thread, I had to check the rules to see what should be found offensive. No worries! From Catechism #2413:
Quote:2413 Games of chance (card games, etc.) or wagers are not in themselves contrary to justice. They become morally unacceptable when they deprive someone of what is necessary to provide for his needs and those of others. the passion for gambling risks becoming an enslavement. Unfair wagers and cheating at games constitute grave matter, unless the damage inflicted is so slight that the one who suffers it cannot reasonably consider it significant.
Whew!

If Erdo (Conservative) and Parolin (Liberal Francis 2.0) duke it out for 2 or 3 days and they get stuck, they might go with Pizzabella as a middle of the road compromise. That's what they did with John Paul II. He was the compromise.

More black smoke this morning.
That's three votes with no agreement.
Two more votes this afternoon ...
Since no blockbuster candidate has emerged
look for a compromise candidate to be elected.
Not liberal Parolin. Not conservative Sarah.
Second or third tier ... under the radar ...
St. John Paul II was a compromise candidate
and was elected on the 8th vote.
