US Immigration and Customs Enforcement is asking companies to provide information about “commercial Big Data and Ad Tech” products that would “directly support investigations activities,” according to a request for information posted on Friday in the Federal Register, the US government’s official journal for agency notices, rulemaking, and other public filings.

I had to ask duck duck go how Ad tech is used by law enforcement. It only helps them to gather data about people without a warrant. 

So it is already here in the US, and has been going on for so long ICE will probably get multiple bids.

Yes mate great TV series and suppose a lot of folks who watched the episode assume it's going to be just like that.

If the documents in videos already posted in this thread are accurate then the SC reality couldn't be more different.

I often wonder... there simply cannot be a condition in which ALL nations will "willingly and gratefully" adopt total surveillance... (then proceed to own nothing under a demand of "happiness." - If you are not happy then "you" are the problem.)

Given my notion that there will never be "adoption" but "enforced compliance," how are they prepared to "remedy" the matter?

Financial erasure? Socially enforced 'punishments?'  Forfeiture of "dignity privilege?"

But what if there is an actual "movement?"  A successful "activist" creating counter-pressure... what then?

Is that where they would show their colors, their true nature (as if it had ever been concealed?)

Funny enough you asked.

China last year started warning Negative Nancy’s about posts that went against “societal norms” and exemplified “lazy or unhappy characteristics”. And full on scrubbing posts or entire accounts of Debbie Downers that used their social media to describe their personal woes in relation to the plights of Chinese Society.

So. In other words “They don’t gotta burn the books. Just remove ‘em.”

You WILL be happy in our dysfunctional and dystopian future. Or else.

Yes it certainly doesn't sound good mate - have you looked at the 'digital ID' fiasco in India?

It's been called 'one of the largest disasters of the century' and people are literally getting 'locked out of survival' being declined food rations, hospital access, pensions etc..(more on starvations here).

As well as insane corruption within a short time criminal networks had also hacked biometric data.
