That kind of question always leads to an existential crisis for me...
If I had to distill it down to something simple and relatable...
I want to know, so I ask.... and that's OK.
I want to give and take, and even share.... that's OK,
I choose to believe... and that's OK too.
From there I am willing to negotiate with a larger society... any society.
Core: DIGNITY IS A FACT.... not a choice.
