Careful what we wish for, all the same.
AGI won't act or behave any better than it's creators and will most likely end up as confused as many of us are, especially interpreting what was previously interpreted within the religious dogma/doctrine fiasco. It would appear the ways of the Old Testament God are the preferred ways by some.
I'll continue to believe in Jesus' teachings as being the true way to fulfill God's law.

" Contradictions with the Old Testament Many scholars and critics argue that Jesus explicitly contradicted Old Testament laws and moral directives. For example, Jesus’ teaching to "turn the other cheek" and "not resist evil" (Matthew 5:38-39) directly opposes the Old Testament principle of "an eye for an eye" (Exodus 21:24, Deuteronomy 19:21) which mandated proportional retribution to remove evil from the community. Additionally, critics point out that Jesus’ emphasis on mercy and refusal to judge others contradicts Old Testament commands to stone sinners to death for specific offenses like blasphemy, adultery, or idolatry (Leviticus 20:10, 27; Deuteronomy 17:2-5). Some argue this creates a fundamental contradiction because Jesus claimed not to come to destroy the Law but to fulfill it (Matthew 5:17), yet his ethical directives often inverted the legalistic applications of that Law." We don't know what AGI will do, mainly because it will be greater than the sum of its creators, Quint.
I was christened a protestant mate, im already saved.
As to laws, well, if they are of the religious sort, I'll pick and choose which ones I wish to follow.
Just keep in mind that Heaven is a Kingdom.
And God is looking for subjects as opposed to equals...
As to the Old and New Testaments, well, either God got an upgrade, started taking his medication...
Or arguably thats two different deities.
I don't know what I believe anymore, Quint, im on the fence...

AI (LLM) already is showing us it's confusion, contradictions, believing in lies, hallucinations, etc. so then let's have them debate amongst their algorithmic selves...give them their own public forum so we can judge them.
Do no harm, live and let live, and stop the warmongering, is where I am right now.
Imagine what we could achieve as a species.
LOL 'saved'!

A large language model predicts and generates text based on patterns in data, Quint.
They lack true understanding or any sort of real autonomy.
Artificial general intelligence would be able to learn...reason...perform any intellectual tasks a human can, only billions of times faster, and millions of them all at once.
It would be flexible and self-directed in ways we can't even truly fathom or comprehend.
And its ability to problem solve would not be limited to trained patterns in the same manner LLM functions.
They are not really the same thing...

Sounds like a good place to be and a half decent state of mind to reside.
I wish the greater part of the world could claim the same.

Well, its like freedom, mate, illusory at best, but nevertheless desirable to the alternative.

Well my illusion is transmutation into another form of energy rather than being 'saved', or is that being 'saved' (?) for some I would imagine it would be depending upon their level of suffering here in this reality. So let them or all of us have our particular illusions when it comes to what happens after death.
As for being judged by God, well if that is to become a reality, then I have my arguments about the human condition, the hows, whys, whatfors, wheretofors, and willingness to accept the judgement
I don't have faith in advanced AI being anything other than a tool with inherent human flaws programmed into it.

It's one of those where we will never know until we go...
Hedge one's bet, thats my advice.
As to judgment, well i hope there is an appeals procedure, created in his image and all that jazz.

There is:
" Yes, according to Christian theology, God forgives sins when an individual sincerely repents and trusts in Jesus Christ. This forgiveness is described as total and complete, meaning God removes the guilt of sin and remembers it no more, rather than offering partial or temporary pardon." (LLM)
So just give God what God wants and all will be forgiven, then get reborn, if you so choose to do so, with all memory of one's past lives completely erased. Wash, rinse, repeat?

Some of the things I've done in this world, in my younger years, all the same, i don't think i would forgive me, quint...
All you can hope for is to live and learn, and not repeat your mistakes.
As to being reborn, Christianity and reincarnation simply don't go hand in hand, nor travel well together imho...
Christian doctrine is about a single earthly life followed by judgment, it emphasises it even.
Merging the ideologies can be somewhat problematic.
But hey'ho you could be as correct or incorrect, as anyone else...

It simply boils down to one's beliefs whether those beliefs are created with correct information or incorrect information. We all have different realities it appears.
As for forgiveness, what we all have done is within the human condition, as God or the natural world/cosmos has made us, with the good and the bad.
