You must develop the ability to be disliked in order to free yourself from the prison of other people's opinions.

We are created free, not born free.

We are the result of a biological mechanism called reproduction.

Something every species and living organism does in some way shape or form.

Really not that special.

Free?  Do you believe in reincarnation of the energy soul?  Are you recycled?

But I do think most of us spend the majority of our lives unlearning teachings forced upon us.

Imagine if the inner you were just "allowed to be" from birth.  Who would you be?

This site is neither liberal, nor conservative.

But the current world situations, politically, are following the courses of the policies and personalities of world leaders, and people are realizing the rational, and historically demonstrated, outcomes of those ideas.

... and, I think, liberals, especially in most Western countries, statistically admit to no religion (51%), but of the 49% that admit to a religion, 74% identifiy as Christian (of course, true Christianity relates to individual direct spiritual relationship to Jesus Christ and YHWH through the Holy Spirit, not membership in some sort of 'club', so it doesn't actually fit well with human group affiliations).

That would be contrary to the liberal concept of allowance of freedom of expression (provided that such expression remains polite, law abiding - i.e; within the T's and C's of the site, and does not infringe the codified and agreed human rights of others).

Any intelligent person could easily contrive to express themselves in that way...

I think you may be labouring under the misunderstanding of the differences between counter argument, and being gagged.

True reasoned debate cannot occur if one side is gagged. Thus liberals are precisely those who would 'hear out' the opinions of others.

If the arguments of the present chapter are of any validity, there ought to exist the fullest liberty of professing and discussing, as a matter of ethical conviction, any doctrine, however immoral it may be considered… If all mankind minus one were of one opinion, and only one person were of the contrary opinion, mankind would be no more justified in silencing that one person than he, if he had the power, would be justified in silencing mankind.” - John Stuart Mill in his essay "On Liberty".

... if there is any principle of the Constitution that more imperatively calls for attachment than any other, it is the principle of free thought — not free thought for those who agree with us, but freedom for the thought that we hate.” - Oliver Wendell Holmes.

"I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it" - Evelyn Beatrice Hall.
