Easy ...

- China and Russia are advancing in that country which is in our backyard.
- The government there is a narco terrorist dictatorship and not a validly elected government.
- The government is in the business of drugs, which they explicitly foist upon the USA
which is a danger to us.

By almost all official record, as you pointed out, they’re a drop in the bucket.

Maduro is a massive piece of shit and dictator… But there’s no shortage of dictators in the world. If I remember correctly, we were supposed to stop being the global police and no new wars. It was a massive part of the campaign. But then again, so was reducing debt, draining the swamp, and reducing cost on consumers. But we’re increasing debt, pardoning more politicians than going after them, and affordability is now a hoax.

This doesn’t make Trump some huge boogey man or the worst president ever. It just makes him one of them, business as usual. There’s arguments that he may still be better than Harris, but I don’t see how people can believe he’s the best president ever or “saving the country”. This is just status quo. I’m sure someone may say we’re only about a year in, but that’s a year in to the second term.

To me, it’s just sad the lessons weren’t learned with Iraq. They’re not even trying to sell this to the American people. Most Americans don’t want this, and we don’t need to look at polls to conclude that. It was never a talking point aside from the fringes before now, and still the only people who push it are partisans and pundits.

It's easy to engineer a narrative and frame it to create another boogeyman to go after
That's what they do

But it's great optics and takes America's focus off of what's going on in our own government

That looks like a very convincing false flag to me
I guess we will see if the Latinos have any active cells in the US once Donny goes in

Technically, we could argue that oil is the drug of choice for both our respective nations, never mind the rest of the civilized world.

Given how much of the stuff Venezuela sits atop of, im sure you can see where im going with the comparison.

Just keep in mind that, supply and demand being what it is, there is no real war on drugs.

What do you imagine would happen....will happen, if Trump were offered a slice of the pie?

Could that be what he's after, as well as the oil reserves?

I mean, the man did just pardon a convicted drug lord responsible for importing 100s of tons of the stuff into the continental United States, worth $Billions.

So you denounce Trumps pardoning of a Drug baron right?

If not, do you support cartels?

We could make the case it’s for the oil… but it’s heavy crude, and we are the number one producer of oil right now of any nation ever.

We could make the case it’s to hedge China and Russia out. But they’ve split, and Maduro has said he won’t sell to them, and sell us whatever we want.

We could say it’s for drugs. But they only produce around 5% of our supply, and that’s just cocaine. What would that do, increase prices by 10-20% at best?

Either way it’s all a lie, and it makes people feel like the government is doing what they always do. Feeding us bullshit without even the decency of really trying to selling it. They’re not even trying as hard as with Iraq.

My guess is it’s for the oil, but the MIC has to get their cut on the way. Oligarchs have been cashing in while the middle class has gotten crumbs, surprise surprise. Same circus as always.

Seems like the US rely on Venezuelan oil to a degree

Because that explains your shallow comprehension of politics and international politics
You advocate protecting your borders by invading a foreign national but bemoan Russia doing the same to protect their boarders and people
Ukraine is on Russias border, Venezuela is thousands of kms away from the US
The whole thread is a reflection of the US doing similar to what Russia is doing.

But, the US is doing it to steal Venezuelan oil, simply because the US are the only ones capable of refining it in bulk
Bitch on about Russia but, the US is just as bad and you can’t see it because “Merika”
You can’t be that simple?
